Support Agent for Puzzle Pirates: (Remote, Part-time)

We are looking to hire up to two additional support staff members to add to the Grey Havens team. Depending on our needs and what they’re interested in, they might be working Puzzle Pirates, Spiral Knights, and/or Arcane Waters.

The responsibilities of our support staff include

  • Being available to assist players online for scheduled shifts.
  • Monitoring the game, including the economy and players, keeping up to date with recent changes, and reporting any issues to senior support agents and developers.
  • Answering petitions, resolving complaints and player conflicts, and escalating issues appropriately to senior Ocean Masters and Grey Havens development staff.
  • Communicating promptly and efficiently. Working nicely with each other to ensure overall consistency and ever-improving quality of service.
  • Working within the established support policy.
  • Helping to moderate the wiki and Discord (when applicable).
  • The running and support of events and other fun activities.
  • Willingness to give up some in-game responsibility in order to avoid conflicts of interest.

The successful candidate will combine a deep knowledge of our games with experience or understanding of how to deliver excellent customer service to our players.

Our first priority is to provide coverage during peak hours of play, making the ability to work flexible hours and cover peak times, like weekends, an important decision criterion.

Please apply via a plain-text email with the subject “YPP OM Job” to bizdev@greyhavens.co including:

  • The name of your main pirates/knights you’ve played on.
  • A message describing your experience with our games.
  • At least two concrete suggestions for how you would improve the player experience through good customer service. Event ideas etc. would be an example, but other more systemic examples are also encouraged.
  • A copy or link to your resume.
  • An indication of how much work you're interested in and when, and what your current employment circumstances are.

As an aside:

We expect this round of applications to be very competitive. Please do not be disappointed if you are not accepted, we anticipate hiring a few people immediately but will retain applications for future positions.

Please submit your application by the end of Sunday, September 1st.

We will make every effort to reply to all candidates but appreciate your understanding if we do not get back to you.
