For a (whole other) blog post, I'm going to do a list of favorites. If you have any suggestions for favorite things I could list, please PM me or post here! They could be game-related things or real-life related things. Although mine is going into a different blog, I reckoned that I could justify using this thread because other OMs could pick up the Favorites thing for a Y!PP blog post too! |

Heehee ok visual puns aside, I still would like some insight into how something gets into the game. The two puzzles that were chosen for round two of the GCPP are not necessarily what I would have chosen* (though I can honestly say I wouldn't have chosen mine either - it was a bit complex) even though I can see how they would appeal to a group of people. I also can see how they are a good balance with the puzzles we already have in place, but I can see how some of the others would be as well. It would be interesting to hear what element caught the developer's attention. *PLEASE NOTE: This in no way is meant as a complaint about the chosen games. Without giving away secrets, I'd be curious to know some of the long term goals (For example, after the crafting puzzles what other areas might need attention?) I made a suggestion months ago about classifying ships and giving each class a unique puzzle to break up some of the monotony a bit. Obviously that would be a huge change, I'm just curious whether anything like that might be a long term goal or if the current setup is considered to be enough. (I understand it can be hard to discuss long term goals since people who don't understand tend to get impatient.) Anyway, I always enjoy glimpses behind the scenes (I'm a theatre techie - can't help myself) so I've enjoyed all the posts that do that. ---------------------------------------- Pletoo of Sage |

I had heard that Cleaver was responsible, myself, which leads me to question your lot's taste in nicknames. Is there a country theme? Is Cleaver Greece, which would perhaps render Eurydice as Zimbabwe, or Demeter as Italy? Things you learn. If I knew that being dubbed Mexico or Brazil was a fringe benefit of being hired, I'd have put in a ton of work on an OM application. ---------------------------------------- Cassis, Sage Evil Mastermind A quick wit's best accompanied by quick reflexes. I remember last year Cleaver posted somewhere about all the new and upcoming stuff that was going to happen in 2007 - Sea Monsters, Atlantis, etc. It all came true except for the Titans. Can we get some hints about what we can expect in 2008? Pretty please? ---------------------------------------- Josephdaniel on Midnight. |

I predict that we'll have a few extra weeks of winter, followed by spring, summer, fall and then winter again. Expect water to fall from the sky on occasion in different forms. Day will be followed by night followed by day, etc. We'll have some new releases with some fun stuff, some controversial stuff and we might even break the oceans a few times... If we're lucky, we may even find something else to blame for ruining the game!! |

Heh, there's one. What would the OMs currently consider to be "ruining the Game", if they were nothing more than Players, as opposed to what they would consider to be ruining it as OMs? (My vote from the OM perspective would be "ZOMG the damn PLAYERS are ruining the Game!!111!") Of course, answers would be anonymous, to protect their reputations (or the shattered remains of them as some people would have you believe). ---------------------------------------- Whitewyvern. You made a mistake. I fixed it for you! :D Insomnia is ruining the game. hey hey hey I have kind of a doozy Do you remember shipwrightery? I don't mean the one that made it to production, I mean the shipwrightery that was almost in the game and ready to be put on the oceans until someone decided it was awful. So, I'm kind of wondering what was Shipwrightery like when it wasn't fun and anything related to that. ---------------------------------------- His Holiness, The Dope |

Just dawned on me that there hasn't been a blog post in a while... I figured I'd suggest having some thoughts from the new ocean masters and how they are adjusting to the new life of an OM (with plenty of humor included). Even a post from the blog usuals (Hypnos or Apollo) talking about their adjusting to having new pledges into their society of awesomeness. Anyone agree with me? /me looks around Okay! ---------------------------------------- Stevensam -Cobalt Native, founder and host of The PoE is Right. Creator of Lime Day. |

Recalling older blog posts, I remembered one that was quite interesting. I'd love to see another blog entry that showed off more statistics that the average pirate wouldn't know. /me pokes Cephalopod, c'mon, you know you want to pull some more numbers!

Being a curious kitty, I always want to know about the whys. Why was it thought to be time to open a new ocean? Why was Malachite set out the way it was? Why is the ocean green and the sky blue? :-) ---------------------------------------- My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair.
