How did I win my monkey familiar?

So I'm expanding my autobiography, and I was reminded that I won a familiar in the beginning of November, 2010. But I didn't, at the time, notate HOW I won the thing, just put it in a little infobox.

So, does any kind soul remember me bragging from that time, how I won an almond monkey named Hanuman? I am thinking it must've been a puzzle competition, perhaps distilling or shipwrighting. I can't be sure, though.

There is a bounty for more accurate information. PM me.
