Guerrilla Warfare Presents: The Sinking PvP Tournament - Win a Shoppe on Melanaster! Many of you may re-call that previously when Guerrilla Warfare held Melanaster we announced a sinking PvP event. Im pleased to announce we are restarting this event To enter the tournament you need to comment below with your Navigator, the 2 pirates you want to have onboard puzzling for you, and your 2 substitute puzzlers, you then need to provide a "Team Name" The Rules: Both sloops will need to be stocked with 50 rum and 250 cannonballs As well as two real puzzlers each boat will also have 2 bots onboard Substitutes: You may also provide the name of 2 substitute puzzlers in the event one of your or both of your first pick pirates are unable to participate in the PvP as planned. Once your substitute has been used they must remain in your team for the remainder of the tournament Tournament will be randomly seeded and is knockout only 1) Battle Time Limit: 30 mins 2) If after 30mins neither boat has been sunk, the winner is whoever is up on shots at that precise moment. If tied on shots, the winner is the next person to go up a shot. If you both land shots in the same turn but at different moves (1 to 4) the winner is the person who lands the shot first 3) Puzzlers and bots can be moved around the ship as and when needed but the battle navigator MUST NOT puzzle. 4) Each ship will have a steward onboard to watch the battle (they will not puzzle) and some battles may be live streamed by Pasteyman from the crows nest, although moves and damage will be obscured of course. This is to provide the opportunity for those interested to watch the battles, but also to help independently monitor the shot counts in the event the battle reaches the 30 minute time limit. 5) The battle will take place in an 8x8 area in top right corner of the PvP board. Shots will not be fired until both ships are in position and both navers have been informed the battle is commencing by a member of GW royalty. PvP battles will be scheduled to take place on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays at 2pm Game Time and take place outside of Melanaster Island. (Depending on feedback this may be open to change) The Prize! The winner of the PvP tournament will be awarded a Shoppe of their choice on Melanaster Island. Shoppe Deeds will be traded to the winning Battle Navigator unless specified otherwise prior to the tournament starting. The two puzzlers from the winning team will also be awarded PoE/other prizes but what and how much is TBC. If there are any streamers interested in assisting with this event please contact myself, Pasteyman or any other GW royalty. Update! Registration for this event will close Friday 23rd November at 12.00pm game time! Teams registered after this time will not be able to participate. The tournament will be randomly seeded and brackets for this will be posted once registration has closed. We will be looking to arrange for at least two PvPs to take place Friday 23rd November, one at 2.00pm game time and the other at 2.30pm game time after the first game has ended. As stated previously the PvP will take place in an 8x8 section in the top right corner of the board. If for any reason the location in the top right corner does not look workable as an 8x8 battle area, we will advise both navers before the battle fully commences. Once both navers are in position they will be given an advanced warning one turn before the battle has been officially started and the 30min timer commenced.  If a ship moves outside of this outlined 8x8 section at any point in the PvP they will be given a warning, if it occurs again the team will be disqualified.  Two games to kick the tournament off will be AHOYYYYY v CI Community (2pm game time) and Renegade #2 v So Last Minute (2.30pm game time) - these two matches will take place on Monday 26th November. This is to ensure adequate notice for all teams. Firstly well done to everyone who participated in this PvP Tournament and the patience involved with getting games played in this format. Much appreciated! Many very closely contested and interesting to watch battles between all competitors and great puzzling by all involved.
