Can't do today'S free puzzle?

Today's free puzzle is foraging and it tells me to go find a foraging voyage so I did but it says that I have to have a badge to join even though it's today's free puzzle? Is this a bug?

It doesn't let you apply via the Notice Board, but if you send whoever is jobbing a /tell they can job you onto their ship and you can forage that way. You won't produce any fruit though.

If i do have a badge, and apply via NB... and i see fruit. is it consuming my labor? :O

You have the option to click practice, then the screen resets and you get empty crates an no consumption of labor
