Missing LE Class ship Adjectives Reply to this Post Reply with Quote So, Clotho has been beyond marvelously, amazingly helpful. I asked her, a while ago, if she could help us find out which adjectives are missing and/or wrong on our wiki pages for ship adjective names (list here). She responded that the Puzzle Pirates philosophy is that everything is a puzzle - things are left for us to discover, not for the OM's to drop in our lap. I responded that I agreed, but due to the fact that some of these are very historical and can't be verified except through attempting to track down ships. Her response was (and I have her permission to quote it here):   Regarding the LE ship names, this is where we have the good news, bad news thing. Cleaver's premise was that everything is a puzzle, therefore, simply disclosing or handing out information (outside what's on official pages) is not something we usually do - otherwise, where would the fun be? That said, all of us appreciate the enormous effort that compiling the information and keeping pages updated entails. For that reason, we want to meet you half-way. I will disclose the number of adjectives missing and let you know which don't belong there (renamed by players and not spawned by the system). In the future, whatever adjectives you find I'll be happy to confirm or deny if they are game-spawned or renamed. After several round of going back and forth with Clotho over the existing names, and after several hearties, most noticeably Princessmg, searched for lots of potential adjectives, and after I made (yet another) spreadsheet to hold all the information in, this is where we currently stand: * For 36 47 of the 49 classes, we have all of the adjectives (yay)! * We are missing the following: * * Ancient class: 3 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Arctic class: 4 0 adjectives (I'll make the page shortly) (yay!) * * Blizzard class: 2 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Calamtiy class: 1 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Casino class: 1 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Dragon class: 1 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Gold class: 3 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Haunted class: 9 3 adjectives * * Phantom class: 1 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Serpent class: 1 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Torrid class: 2 0 adjectives (yay!) * * Valkyrie class: 2 0 adjectives (yay!) * There are some adjectives that were listed, that Clotho has verified are not spawned that way (i.e., the ships are renames). The full list of them is in the rename column of that spreadsheet. So, two things from all this: 1) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, Clotho, for all your help and communication with this! I know it's not a big thing, but I am really excited how well it's coming together! 2) We have 28 3 missing adjectives to find together, 16 all of them on ships currently available! Help me out! We also have a phantom sloop with the adjective Haunted, which Budclare said had already been marked as a rename, but it might be worth double checking. (The ship is the Haunted Sardine). Also, for the Tropic class sloop, the wiki (and my crew) has the adjective Equatorial, but it's not on the spreadsheet, so updating that might help. ---------------------------------------- Wayfarer of Mala-idian-erald

Yeah, there were some added to the wiki that I wanted to ask Clotho about before adding them to the spreadsheet. I realize now that I probably should have combined all the suggested adjectives into one post. If my math is correct, with Clotho's amazing updates so far, we're down to 15 missing adjectives (in 8 classes). This list is slightly longer than Clotho's a few posts above, hopefully she can update me if my numbers are wrong (ones not listed in her post are in bold): Ancient class: Missing 2 Blizzard class: Missing 1 Calamity class: Missing 1 Dragon class: Missing 1 Gold class: Missing 1 Haunted class: Missing 7 Phantom class: Missing 1 Valkyrie class: Missing 1 Yasmi: I'm sorry to hear that you've been in the hospital, that's never fun. But I'm glad (it appears) you're out now! And thanks for the list, we can definitely have Clotho confirm/deny those. And for those that are renames, they are clever ones. Regarding my typo: I actually read it as "timeworm". I have absolutely no idea why, and it makes no sense. But I'm glad it was amusing. :P Edit to add: The wiki has been updated with everything that Clotho has confirmed to this point (I hope). If I missed updating anything, feel free to fix it. Dragon- Taloned Bullhead and Plaice (as already mentioned) Haunted- Abyssal Plaice Those are my contributions from out of the linty blue. My crew has a Cherished, too. Its owner didn't usually rename ships but she did occasionally, so I'm not sure. If it is a rename, it's weird there are so many of them.
