I've never put an entry into Yppedia and I don't think adding LE ships is the best time to do it for the first time, but I've noticed that a few LE ships aren't listed on the ships page including: Gunpowder Sloop Hunter Sloop Serpent Sloop Valkyrie Sloop Skelly Sloop Vampire Sloop Casino War Frig I suppose just the last six months of LE ships ---------------------------------------- Lukineight Captain of The Stoic Vikings Prince of Illuminatti |

Try this Go to the Main Page (front page) of YPPedia Click Ships & Scroll down they are all their. Actually Pausey, he means here, and he's right, they are missing. If you'd like to learn to edit the wiki, this is actually a decent place to learn - editing a table means just copying another row into the spot and then changing the fields to match the new data. So if you go to the edit view of the Sloop section of that table, you see this: |-valign=top ![[Gold class sloop|Gold class]]* |50 |75 |66 |160 |60 |30 |20 |align=left|1 gold paint<br>40 yellow paint<br>25 white paint<br>2 [[cubanite]]<br>2 gold nuggets The rows are as following: |-valign=top ![[Gold class sloop|Gold class]]* |50 <---Iron |75 <---Wood |66 <---Sail Cloth |160 <---Basic Labor |60 <---Skilled Labor |30 <---Expert Labor |20 <---Dub delivery cost |align=left|1 gold paint<br>40 yellow paint<br>25 white paint<br>2 [[cubanite]]<br>2 gold nuggets <---special items in the recipe The gunpowder sloop rows would go just after that. So copy the Gold Class section of the editing screen I showed at the top, and paste it just below the above rows. Then change the fields to look like this: |-valign=top ![[Gunpowder class sloop|Gunpowder class]] |50 |75 |66 |160 |60 |50 |40 |align=left|60 orange paint<br>40 brown paint<br>5 black paint<br>3 [[masuyite]]<br>3 [[lorandite]] That last line is the most difficult, because it contains all the non-standard items used to make it LE. For those, if there aren't enough <br> tags, you need to put one in front of each item. I pulled all this information off the main wiki page for the Gunpowder sloop : For all LE sloops, the wood, iron and sailcloth stay the same as a regular sloop, and Basic Labor is also the same, but the rest of the labor, and the dub cost, may differ is the wiki pages for the ships themselves are correct. One last piece: at the top of a section (Sloop, Cutter, etc) is the following line: ! rowspan=22 | [[Sloop]] You have to add a number for each ship of that type you add, to properly preserve the indentation of the rows. So, when I added Gunpowder, I changed that from 21 to 22. If you added Hunter Sloop, you'd change it to 23. That explanation was a bit complex, perhaps, but I find the best way to learn is by taking a look at what's in the Editing box and attempting to match it with new table rows. Yeah, I noticed they were missing some time ago. It's quite low down on my list of priorities, though, because the information is already there on the individual ship articles - stuff that's going to disappear from the game at some point comes first. |

I would suggest It would be real nice for you to just get on and do it poor old Belthazar has a lot of work to do. I kinda think introducing wiki editing using the ships article is similar to teaching a man how to fish by starting with marlin fishing... Also, I wouldn't say I'm any more than two-thirds of a star. |

/em facepalms SO HARD I... don't think I realized that table existed. I tend to go around obsessive-compulsively uploading images and basic pages for each new ship on the first of each month, (even as my poor neglected pirates fall into unintentional retirement) and to date I've just been doing the ship page, adjective template, "ship 2" template, and Limited Edition Ships page. Because why would it ever occur to me to check for things that need updating on some obscure little page called "Ships"? Heh. Heeeh. Ahahaha*thunk*. I'll add it to the list of pages I fiddle with; hopefully that'll keep it from falling behind again, unless some enterprising soul beats me to the monthly LE ship upload. ;) (Seriously, why did I never think to check that page? Whoops.) ---------------------------------------- Lado, Ladodal, Iara, Sequitur, and a fair few others. Cerulean native by way of Cobalt, but increasingly hanging my hat in Emerald. |
