Bunnylaroo Emerald I was inspired to create a portrait of my most recently-acquired pet, my Karkinos named Ceviche :) The materials I used were: -tissue paper, cut into small squares -glue -an unused pencil with eraser -scissors I started by sketching Ceviche onto the background. However, as the project progressed, I realized that the original sketch was too detailed, so you'll notice that the final product has lost a couple of legs D: In order to apply the tissue paper, I wrapped the small square around the eraser end of the pencil and used the pencil to apply the tissue paper to the glue: Outlining Ceviche with black tissue paper Adding the gold bits Close up, adding the blue Finished Krab Extreme close up, adding the sky And finally, the finished mosaic:  Bigger To give an idea of how far the tissue paper sticks up, here is another view (from the side) Fun fact! Pirate Name: Scrim Ocean: Emerald In honor of the uniting of the oceans I bring you this scene, where a pirate is pulling the islands on a map to the new locations with his helpers gathering bits of the ocean that need moving:  Material Photo Link Materials used: Rice, Eggs (brown and white), Glue, Food dye (Blue, Red, Yellow, Green), Seed Beads, Blue Highlighter, Black Ink (to dye seed bead, rice and eggs), Sliver Spray Paint, Isopropyl Alcohol (to dry dyed eggs, rice and seed beads), bit of brown paper bag, one sheet of watercolor paper (for the base I worked on) and needle-nose pliers (to help place the egg shells, seed beads and rice). Hey! I decided to take a go on this awesometastic event and I created a very interesting entry. So, I was brainstorming and I narrowed down my options to something explosive. But I couldn't find any inspiration, so I challenged myself further and bought the following materials:  So I have seed beads using all four colors of the PUZZLE PIRATES logo: Black, yellow, light yellow and maroon; and a plank, because we're pirates. So, then, I created THIS!:  I told you guys it was going to be explosive, so there you are: A gunpowder bag, as found in the gunning puzzle, igniting! Tritón - Jade As I don't write/speak English, I'll just put the link and show things like a kid, hoping you get idea. So.. blablabla, - Materials 1 - Materials 2 - The design -A marked (<-- em... I think that's the word) paper. It was 0.5cm X 0.5cm - A cut - No idea how to call this , this or this - The tentacles - The pre-sea -The sea - The ship (with card) -The ship (without card) -Doing the sky (another one ) The flags (another one ) Aaaaaand... the final pic.  I'm not sure how many papers are there... if ye count them, PM me please =D Ah, after using each color, I had to made an origami paper box (like this one) to put the extra papers (just in case I needed them), so... THIS is what I have now :) Ps: I HATE PAPERS! Imp, Merrridian. Somebody said M&M's.  Materials: some of the M&M's have had the colour washed out with water to give extra shades - I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to do, so only some of those colours were used. In progress 1 & 2. Finished with name tag. The design wholistically represents the balance we must strike, between evil Nemesises and pink bunnies, between the ocean and the land, familiars and pets, skill and luck, seasonal colours and traditional ones, limited edition and competition... etc. I had fun making this, although a little helper was very good at eating the supplies! ---------------------------------------- Imp, totally sane mermaid-siren of Meridian. Abagaile Emerald My hand-crafted copper monkey.  Materials - seed beads (since my husband wouldn't let me break any dishes...) - glue - 9x9 poster board (Yellow was not my first choice, but it was either that or hot pink...) - I also used a pin, which I forgot to include in my materials photo. It is shown in some of the "in progress" shots.
