Results are in! The voting was a close race, but we have a winner: Calamarie Calamarie wins the Midnight Guardfish sloop!
Runner-ups: Lj, Jsweetie Runner-ups will receive their choice of atlantean, indigo or sea green chroma. Hello fellow Cerulean pirates! I've got an event for you all that I hope to make this merge a great experience! The Rundown: -In this thread, post a fact/tidbit/insight about your ocean -Make sure your in-game name is easy to tell -Share info about the economy, ocean politics, social norms, etc. of your ocean! -Deadline is January 3, 2012 at 11:59:59 PM (game time) The Winners: -Each pirate will get a chance to vote for their favorite facts after the entries are done. -Top facts will each win prizes! -A link for voting will be provided here when the entry deadline has passed. -Vote for your favorite Midnight entry and Cobalt entry! Midnight mentality: It's all about <insert one's own name>, what I want, and how things were back in 2005. Midnight politics: All raffles are rigged so Vova can't win. shhhhh. Midnight economy: They say there's a labour shortage but whenever I have more than one acct subbed, I can't find them steady work unless I take a job paying 5/10/15. On Midnight foraging is better paid than on Cobalt. Normal Prices here are about 7/27/100/2700 and higher when some people try to overbid the others. On Midnight there are stalls where you can work for real wages with labour to do all the time. /me points to his signature. On Midnight blockades are usually at a lower pay level than on cobalt. Hi there, dont think i have to tell you what midnight is good at ? Well for these guys/girls of you, who forgot it. It´s the great community. Friendly,strange,funny all of you on Midnight make it a big deal. Even that guys, you think "Wtf" are a wonderful part of it. Politics ? Cade that Island, pvp that guy, sink whatever you see or not ? Facts ? Most of us Midnighters love cookies or not ? Economy ? We have the best Krakensblood for around 10.000 PoE ! Most people on Midnight have been playing the game for a long long time. This means we are very opinionated and set in our ways as a result the smallest little changed can cause a shit storm of controversy (esp. on the forums!) However because we are so fussy it means that most of our islands are not over developed (other than Nu and Jorvik). Interesting Midnight Tidbits: Some islands don't follow all the building rules as they were built before some of the rules were made. Some examples, but I'm sure not all are: * Winter Solstice has 2 Weavery shops but no bazaar. * Cnossos and Cranberry have 2 Inns Many areas around Midnight have extinct league points which older pirates may have memmed. Middy used to be full of action and adventure. Way back when, I used to be able to make 30k in a day's sailing easy. Now I am lucky if I can make 10K a day. And many times I'll look at the board there are no ships even out. There used to be a lot of fun blockades with tons of boomy action and poe to be made. Now there are blocks but without the other side fighting it's just sad. Aside of all that, Middy still has some great players and for the most part they get along pretty well.
