Tired of the traditional box auction? Black Flag will be holding a blind bid box auction. Here is how it works: 20 wrapped boxes will be placed at the palace on the island of Kent (upstairs room) and will not be removed until distributed. The minimum bid to get one of the boxes is 50k. There are two ways to place a bid. One is to send a tell in-game to Cheryll or Sleepingvamp. When you send the tell make sure we respond so you know we saw it . The second way is to send a PM to Sleepingvamp on this forum. She will send you a PM back to confirm that the bid was received. Please do not post your bid in this thread (otherwise it wouldn't be blind). You may make a maximum of five bids, however if you win five boxes, you will be expected to pay for all of them, otherwise you will be disqualified from winning. The top 20 bids will receive one of the boxes. The highest bid will get the first choice of what number they would like...second highest picks next.....etc... until the 20th highest bidder gets the last box. Bidding will close on Friday, October 28 at 4pm game time . The top 20 bidders will be announced as soon as possible after the close of the bidding. In order to receive your box, the winning bidders must pay either Cheryll or Sleepingvamp before the distribution of boxes. Boxes will be distributed on Sunday October 30th at 10am game time at the palace on Kent. In order to choose your number, you or a previously named representative must be present at the distribution. If you or your representative are not there, you will still receive a box, but will end up with whatever number box happens to be left over. In the unlikely event that someone doesn't pay, the remaining slots will be auctioned off at the distribution and these people will choose their number last. To prevent a tie, we also ask that when you make your bid, do not end it in a 000. For example , do not bid 120,000. Bid 119,998 or 120,023. In the event of a tie of when to choose (for example 11th pick or 12th pick) we will randomly choose who goes first. In the event of a tie for the 20th box, we will ask those two bidders to submit another bid, equal to or higher than their original bid, and the highest second bid will get the box. Complete list of prizes is as follows: - Navy/Gold Karkinos - Atlantean/Silver Karkinos - Gold Chroma - Cursed class sloop - Atlantean Statue - Atlantean Priestess statue - Tall Viking carving - Ancient class sloop - Sloop with CI owners chests unopened (1 entry) - Unnamed navy Sea Horse - Night blue chroma - Frost class longship - 100 dubs - Hera egg - Necromancer table - Mounted tigershark - 75k shopping spree for trinkets at Hydrangea Traders (trading post value) expires 12/31 - War brig with owners chests intact from atlantis(1 entry- 2 citadels won) - Atlantean Octopus statue - Ancient jolly-roger Good luck to all who participate. A list of highest 20 bidders in order that they will choose boxes will be posted in this thread as soon as we can get it organized after bidding closes. The bidding is now closed. The highest bidders are listed below in the order that they will be choosing numbers: 1. Janepeg 2. Vilnietis 3. Vilnietis 4. Phellps 5. Pino 6. Pino 7. Janepeg 8. Canyon All boxes must be paid for to either Sleepingvamp or Cheryll before the distribution on Sunday 10am game time. In the event that a box is not paid for before the distribution, the winning bidders will move up a position in the selection, and the last spots to choose will be auctioned off the old-fashioned way at the distribution. Due to the Addy kade, we are going to push the distribution back about an hour, to the round 3/4 break. (I have had requests from multiple winners to do so). In case anyone who won a box misses this info on the forum, I will attempt to contact everyone by tell in game. I'm still waiting on 5 boxes to be paid for. In the event that they are not paid for by the distribution, they will be auctioned off at that time.
