• The exact format of the tournament will be determined based on the number of teams who sign up for the event.
  
• Each match will be 2 vs. 2 with one game per match and a 5 poe wager
  
• Teams will most likely be split into one or more groups of 4-8 teams each and will play in a round robin format within each group.
  
• The winner or winners from each group will continue on to a final set of elimination rounds.
  
• Final Elimination Rounds may be bumped up to best of 3 or more if time permits.

• Team members sit alternately at the table: A-B-A-B
  
• Play continues until there is a winner - the winner of the game wins the match for their team. The score of the second player is only used if the win is a tie between one player on each team. If this happens, the score of the two second players are compared, and the higher one is given the win.
  
• Remain at the table when the game is over until results have been verified by the host.

• During the background check time we ask that everyone help to check that all entrants are legal. If you find someone who is not legal, please report it to the OM host with a /tell. The OM host will not be doing any checks, so it's up to you to make sure everyone is eligible to play! Any problems with the legality of entrants found after the background check time is over will be waived.
  
• All team members must be at least Broad experience in Drinking on their home ocean. If you do not meet this requirement by the start of the event, you will not be allowed to participate.
  
• Wagers are required for all games, if your account is banned from wagers you will not be able to participate.
  
• Any questions about the legality of a game should be brought to the attention of the OM host before it begins.
  
• Disconnects once a game has started are not grounds for a "redo" unless agreed to by both teams.
  
• If one of your team members is banned between registration and the event, you do not get a free swap to replace them; you will need to play with only 2 members or withdraw.
  
• You should sign up in teams of 3, but the third team member is optional. Teams must have a minimum of 2 pirates to participate. Anyone without the minimum number of pirates by the appointed time will be disqualified and a 'bye' assigned to all their scheduled matches.
  
• To be eligible for a prize, each team member needs to have participated in at least 50% of the games during the event.
  
• Only one entry per player (not per account or ocean), of course.

• Incomplete registration entries will be excluded
  
• No changes to registrations can be made after the registration deadline. If you have not yet created your pirate on Ice, simply list your Ice pirate name as a question mark.
  
• No "mixed" teams, all pirates on a team must have the same home ocean.
  
• This event is open to all regular oceans, including Jade and Opal, but excluding Crimson and Ice.

• Any teams who do not participate in matches in a timely manner may be disqualified.
  
• This is to be a clean event, anyone engaging in activities which are deemed by the OM host to be unsportsmanlike may be disqualified from the event at any time.
  
• Due to the nature of the event any ties may need to be broken using a variety of methods including but not limited to: single or double elimination tournament, round robin, swiss style tournament, sudden death, best of X, etc. These will be implemented as fairly as possible, however, due to the nature of tiebreakers there will potentially be perceived unfairness - unfortunately this is unavoidable.
  
• If you have any problems with any of the rules of this event please bring them up with us before the close of registration. If those problems are not resolved or explained to your satisfaction we recommend that you do not enter the event.
  
• If any cheating is detected or rules broken, if one member of a team is found to be cheating or breaks any rules the entire team or any other teams who benefited may be disqualified at any time. We reserve the right to withhold any and all prizes if the situation warrants.

• If you are accessing Ice through a subscription or doubloon purchase, verify that you will still have access on the day of the event.
  
• If you do not have access to Ice, please note this on the registration thread and we will grant you a pass to Ice for the day of the event.
  
• All requests for access to Ice must be made in your team registration. After the registration deadline no additional requests will be accepted. (We recommend you find a good friend to gift you a month of subscription time if you miss the deadline.)
  
• It is your responsibility to obtain a mug and wagering poe before the start of the event. Mugs will be available to be won in tournaments leading up to the event or they can be purchased from a local Ice Distillery.
  
• We highly recommend that you log onto Ice well before the event to ensure that you can get there. We will provide as much support as we can to help you get online, however, unless there is a widespread problem that results in a significant number of contestants being unable to access the ocean we will not hold up the event and will continue without you. Unfortunately we are unable to offer any compensation to you or your teammates if you are unable to make it online.
  
• The Ice ocean is a testing ocean which means that there is the possibility that it may not be available at the time of the event. Should this be the case, we will postpone the event by one hour. If it is still not available at that time we will hold it at the same time and day on the following week or as scheduled by the OM host.
