By popular request, this experimental sticky thread exists to inform the puzzled pirate population of blockades happening this weekend. Posts should include: *Island Name, Ocean, Sinking vs. Non-Sinking *Time and Date of the blockade *Your flag's name, and whether you're attacking or defending *A link to your intent post, artwork, etc. in your home ocean's parley forum *How much you're paying *Jobbing contacts (if relevant) Please do not include your actual blockade artwork or full intent post. If you are offering additional jobbing perks such as raffle prizes, trivia, etc. Please include that in your pay line like "500 per segment + Raffle" and link to the prize list. Keep commentary out of this thread and save it for the actual intent thread. Posts that don't follow the rules will be purged. What is Written's intent to blockade Lilac - MALACHITE Information - Time and Date: The blockade will begin at noon PDT on Saturday, August 22nd. Imagine the scene: 3 pirates, one of Mala's famous sandy beaches some rum (for a change). The subject of conversation: What can we get for our captains birthday, a pet, a fam, a personalised sloop? How about an island. Who wouldn't love their very own island? 2 days later the news was out - 3 medium island openings for Malachite! It must be fate. Or should I say Our Destiny . - The dream was born. The whole crew's efforts were bent on that one objective: - Get an island for our much loved captain. The distillers distilled, the Shipbuilders built ships, the weavers weaved sail cloth, the iron mongers made cb's. Commodities were shipped from one end of the ocean to the other. Every last poe was saved up. Friends were recruited from across the oceans to help with the cause. Originally the dream was a bigger island, SY, IM, Dis, Townhouse or maybe a cottage. But for all the friendship and love surrounding our captain that dream was just not within our grasp. However with the bigger flags positioning for the mediums maybe an outpost would be possible - not that anyone's gonna walk away from a hard won island. Now the stage is set - the fleet is born, friends have been drafted in to help run the cade - everyone's poured as much love and poe into the dream as they can. We have done all we can, but know that poe, fleet, cade team and love isn't enough - it's the front-line workers that will help us win, so we need just one more thing: Jobbers? Some Jobbers follow their flag, _____________Some will follow their pocket, __________________________Some will follow their heart. Hi there from your cousins on the Midnight Ocean ! We just thought we'd let ye know an exciting event that will be happening tomorrow. BKs have invaded Midnight, taking over 5 islands, and this has led to a 3-way Blockade! Tomorrow, at Beta Island, Water Sleeps will be taking on Anchor Management and the Brigand Kings, The All-Consuming Flame in a 3-way blockade! We are hoping to see ye come out and support this great and exciting blockade. With your help and support, we can boost jobbers and make this one of the most memorable blockades of all time! As I am from Water Sleeps, It would be great for ye to job for us (/e winks) but as long as ye come support the Midnight Ocean, then we are happy! The blockade starts at 11am pirate time tomorrow.
