Re: Monthly Familiar Puzzle Competitions Reply to this Post Reply with Quote I count 11 puzzles that can have competitions, but you still make a good point. With 3 a month, I guess that would be roughly 3 colored familiars a year for each puzzle. That assumes none of these would be multi-puzzle competitions, which I am not sure is the case. I am cool either way really, but I like things to be fair and equal if possible. I want to see colored familiars be relatively rare, but at the same time I love having chances to win more of them. ---------------------------------------- Montage of Sage Mads wrote:  OK, now I'm convinced. Re: Monthly Familiar Puzzle Competitions Reply to this Post Reply with Quote     If the crafters now get the EXACT date and time to aim for and such...i think its only fair the carousers get an updated fammy tourey sched. i mean...really. it's just the luck of being on or not. That's what it's supposed to be. When we have colored familiar tournaments, we generally pre-announce time and date. The tan familiar tournaments are much more frequent, and cycle across all days and times of day, and I think it's a good thing if they're available for the people actually playing the game rather than specifically for the event-watchers. I've to disagree with you on this one Apollo. We used to have Kerix's schedule some time ago, and it was extremely helpful for casual players, to actually be on time, on the given date having the chance to actually compete. Now I've been logging pretty much everyday (of course with some exceptions) for 3 months, and although I could ran into rumble/sf or td tourneys, I haven't hitted a single drinking one, which is my favourite from these particular four. Moreover, most of the people either playing this game a lot or having quite exceptional skills are suprisingly online on every single one, because they either already figured out the pattern, or they are being informed by in-life friends about them. You can't really eliminate "event-watchers" and if someone is good in something, it's only fair to say that the best puzzler should win(apart from drinking, which is much more luck-oriented than sf or rumble or td on certain settings). ---------------------------------------- Akuku Senior Officer of Polish War Fog Formerly of Viridian Ocean (RiP) Avatar by Dracon

I'm staying up for the Carpentry competition even though there's no chance of me winning. :) I like Carpentry and I have nothing better to do. Besides, 6:00 in the morning (my time) is like a normal time for me to still be awake. Yay (not really) for being a useless college drop-out with no job, no money and no life. I'll have fun competing anyway. :)

OOO's main office is out in California, so this has been a holiday weekend. It's just 5 days, not a week, and I'm more than sure they haven't forgotten.
