Windows Instructions: Click on Start, then on Run... Enter: C:\Program Files\Three Rings Design\Puzzle Pirates\yohoho.log (Depending on your configuration, you may be prompted to select an application with which to open the file. Select Wordpad). Wordpad should open with the logfile. Copy and paste the entire contents of the file into your forum post. Windows Vista Instructions: The log is found in %user profile folder%\AppData\Roaming\Puzzle Pirates\yohoho.log Copy the contents of the log file and paste them into your forum post Mac Instructions: Press apple-shift-A in Finder to open the Applications folder. Right-click (or option-click) Puzzle Pirates, and select View Package Contents. Open rsrc, then Java. Double-click yohoho.log to open it. Copy the contents into your forum post. *nix Instructions: I presume /path/to/yohoho/ is your install directory. You'll need to (depending on your version of Windows?) enter double quotes ("") around that whole path name, otherwise Windows will think you are trying to run "C:\Program" with the parameters "Files\Three", "Rings", "Design\Puzzle", and "Pirates\yohoho.log". It's confusing but it's the culprit when you see messages like "Windows could not find C:\Program". ---------------------------------------- The List: Where good suggestions go when they die. My computer says it can't find 'c:\program' i copied and pasted the directory path from the first post. My YPP right there too. I've also gotten logfiles in the past, so this is another weird bug of mine. ---------------------------------------- -Harding |

Follow the directions in Adramolek's post (i.e. put double quotes: Start -> Run -> "C:\Program Files\Three Rings Design\Puzzle Pirates\yohoho.log" Or, open wordpad from Start -> Accessories, and then browse to the file from the File Open box. ---------------------------------------- Cleaver shouts, "I lub this island." Ive found out that if i log off and leave it for roughly 1 hour it fixes itself, No problems now :) |

When i type in the phrase it says cannot find blah blah blah. P.S why does it take so long for ocean master to respond. One did but now nothing. plz help. i'v been waiting about a week now. |

I try getting logfile for my other post becuase oceanmaster needs my logfile to see why I can't open puzzlpirates:( anyways thts not the point it when i enter the name with double quotes ("") it says can find blah blah blah to find file start menu and search. And I tried search and it says doesn't exist. Is this becuase i never played puzzlepirates on this computor or just a problem. ANSwer THis QUICKLY! |

Ok I trying to fix a porblem and I was looking at stuff and i found a button about logfiles does this have anything to do with getting logfiles. If it is do I have to save as file to get my logfile or sumthin answer this as soon as possible. |

That's for chatlogging. Your logfiles should be right in the Puzzle Pirates folder, automatically. ---------------------------------------- Sivius Unretired, sort of. |

I don't know about other Mac users but there is no such file in the applications folder, mine seems to have installed in users/username/library/application support/yoclient There is direct filename "Puzzle Pirates" |

It depends where you are running it from.. For example if you're running it from the Desktop, I suggest moving it into the Applications Folder before opening it all. And on my Mac (OS X) it says Show Package Contents, not View package contents.. also has a different way of getting to yohoho.log (Contents-Resources-Java-yohoho.log) -Sweetmantwo ----------------------------------------

Hello. I'm getting the "There is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet fully operational" message. I'm pretty sure I get it on every computer in my house and it persists through reinstallation and any attempts I make at fixing the problem. And for Vista instructions, here they are. 1. Try opening the launcher.log file and posting that to the forum. Sounds like PP isn't even getting far enough to write to the yohoho.log file. |
