Seemingly random special pages have been broken since last summer. It didn't seem like any of them were terrible vital, though, so I never got around to mentioning it. The ones I know of are: Año viejo Maßkrug Cup o' Glühwein The first two have been fixed. The Cup o' Glühwein is still broken. The ones I know of are: Año viejo Maßkrug Cup o' Glühwein The first two have been fixed. The Cup o' Glühwein is still broken. Silly wiki. Tritón's accent mark is broken, too, so his portrait isn't displaying. Re: YPPedia Status Thread Reply to this Post Reply with Quote The current booch list: -It's still impossible to generate new gif thumbnails (animated or not. See Bisca's page.) -The upload page is still booched, so uploading files with special characters in the names is still a pain in the butt -Lots of other special pages are still just redirecting to the main page -Show/hide in the puzzle pirate skins. If it's not possible to fix it, can the default be set to a different skin? Having show/hide boxes that only work for logged-in people is another pain in the booty. These are all things that have been broken 1-2 years. :( We (i.e. Addy) did find a way to fix the images-with-accent-marks problem (by reuploading them), but the downside of the fix is that each one has to be done manually, and we have no way of knowing if there are any others lurking around that still need to be poked. EDIT: added the show/hides boxes to the list. It would be nice if at least the biggest issues could be fixed before we start trying to bring in new players... ---------------------------------------- Budclare on Meridian I want a cookie. Re: YPPedia Status Thread Reply to this Post Reply with Quote I am pleased to report that lately in the past 1-2 days I've been using it, YPPedia has been speedy and responsive. This is notable, because for quite a while, it was sluggish and recalcitrant, and using it was painful. I sincerely doubt this is somehow load-related. It must be on the backend of servers somewhere, a database on hardware shared with the game, perhaps? I wouldn't really know.
