Hoy, Its been more then 2 months since WG was released but still we dont have info of max SF or sink damages. Its a fragile ship all navers have some idea from experiences yet there isnt any decleration on yppedia. I think those infos have priority while releasing any ship. Note for forum tarts; I know what pillage and bnav is. Im ulti and got # 1 thophy too. Please consider that before quoting and tarting. Developers explicitly refrain from placing information in YPPedia. It is their policy to wait for players to discover, calculate, and publish the information for ourselves. So contrary to what might be popularly believed, YPPedia is a wholly unreliable source for any given fact about the game. In particular, we've had huge problems with calculations of hull damage, even with well-established vessels. See this YPPedia discussion which led me down a huge rabbit-hole of testing every vessel in every combination with a Grand Frigate as the reference point. Testing led me to these totals, some of which were repudiated 3 years later by a developer, who broke the abovementioned rule to correct my numbers. ---------------------------------------- Retired as of August 2015. I can say with some confidence that the War Galleon has the same (or very similar) hull as the War Brig. In rumbles, damage is rounded to the nearest 1/12th (where 1 = max), and in SFs damage can have 1/36th precision. In a recent pillage, I got the following interesting results: Against barbs: 1 MCB ~ 0.5/6 2 MCB ~ 1/6 Against brigs: 1 MCB ~ 3/36 4 LCB ~ 19/36 1 WF ram = 1.5 LCB ~ 7/36 Assuming I can count and the rounding is described correctly, the limits for brawl maxes are approximately 7.71-7.78 LCB = 10.28-10.38 MCBs = 15.42-15.57 SCBs so sinks are approximately 12.85-12.97 LCBs = 17.12-17.30 MCBs = 25.69-25.95 SCBs If I had to guess, I'd pick 7.7625/10.35/15.525 for max brawl and 12.9375/17.25/25.875 for sink ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Bluedaemon at Jul 11, 2018 1:35:28 AM] |

Continuing from where Bluedaemon left off I decided I'd help, after a few battles of randomly putting Small cannon balls into the war galleon I realised you could just reverse the formula to work out which numbers for small cannon balls (SCB) could lead to a smaller overall range. So I tested 11 and 14 SCB 11 gives 26 blocks 14 gives 33 blocks Leading us to the range of 15.42857143 ---> 15.50769231 SCB to max a WG Given only the fanchaun currently takes a weird number of SCB to max and that 15.5 is in this range. Can confirm the upper limit of ~15.508 SCB based on 8 MCB + 2 MB ram = 9.333 MCB -> 33/36 My new guess (if it's not 7.75/.../...) is 7.72875/10.305/15.4575 12.88125/17.175/25.7625 because who doesn't like it when everything ends in 5? Turning to rocks, 6 rock hits = 18 blocks, 11 rock hits = 33 blocks, which, keeping JC's range of 7.7143-7.7538 LCB, puts the rock hit between about 0.6332-0.6461 LCB (1.2664-1.2922 SCB). I re-read the Yppedia article and it mentions the following;
So it seems rock damage numbers are of no help in figuring out hull size and the following ranges are what we have for rock damage: Small CB 1.285714286 --> 1.292307692 Medium CB 0.8571428571 --> 0.8615384615 Large CB 0.6428571429 --> 0.6461538462 ---------------------------------------- Jjc & Jice on Emerald CI booty division stats |

I have no idea what you all are on about. I just shot a WG with 15 smalls and it had 36 blocks. Can we go and assume it's equal to a WB? ---------------------------------------- TriplePat, Emerald. |
