Video Clips Contest Entry Thread This is the entry thread for our Obsidian Ocean Video Clips Contest. Please keep all questions or comments in the discussion thread located here . Your entry should look like the example below:

I realised afterwards perhaps it stretched the brief. I still wanted to share it and enter however. I have been playing this game for 11 years and would love to see the community restored. If for any reason you do like my work I'd love to do some more for free. Feel free to take clips from my work and I can always make more. I have other ideas for trailers featuring all the puzzles. Pirate: Complain Ocean: Obsidian View Link: Link Download:Dropbox Link Familiar choice: Red Monkey Small note: Given that players should get an impression of the game itself (and its variety of puzzles!) they should see some of the puzzles in action. Obviously less action packed puzzles (Drinking, Foraging, Treasure Drop to name a few) and scenery or captured moments would be very nice as screenshot additions in the store page. I don't think people would watch a literal 3 minute walk through the ocean. A small plotline of the Dark Waters Trailer could be an intro of the Dark Waters and fading gameplay footage along with comments. A small example:
I got exams coming up so I couldn't record more footage (e.g Sea Monster Hunt, PvP battles, Cades or many more puzzles), but I hope its in the right direction you are heading for. So that being said I do hope some of my edited clips are of use I don't mind them being lifted out and I'd love to help more. All these entries are really good I can't wait to see which one of you wins. I don't consider the hours i put into this wasted. I learned how to use two different softwares from scratch and had great fun doing it. Infact id be doing even more if time Hadn't Ran out. Its current 2:40am here in the UK. A whole week now spent, perhaps the best way a 20 year old biology student could have spent his vacation haha. Thanks OMs for the contest if you do this again in the future I'd love to try again! I was quite nervous uploading these because although I have the playtime I don't have the wealth or the skill to make these clips too impressive raw haha. |
