Thank you to everyone who has responded to our survey so far in the Dark Seas faction thread. I wanted to take a moment to share some of the results:
 


There is currently a noticeable preference for the Shadow Fleet, however a lot of pirates are still undecided so we'll make some efforts to improve the appeal of the Defiant Armada. Quite a few players mentioned doubts about the "Defiant" name, and we're open to suggestions. There's a short survey here with some of the alternative names that came up in the responses:

Pretty clear results here! We'll be moving forward with the sun and moon icons.

Lastly, we received over 200 written responses about the changes and features that players would like in Dark Seas. I read through every single one, and I'm excited that many of the requests have already been implemented, and others are in the works. We'll share more details about Dark Seas as the development of the new ocean continues.

Still went for Defiant because as I said before, it seems to fit well (if not, perfectly) with what the story seems to be.

If not that, Blazing would have been my next choice because fire/flame.

i like "valiant armada" and " golden armada"
but if you want to keep light and dark theme with sun and moon emblem
"Radiant Armada" is your best bet

If I check this "Game Design" you will post something right?
Forculus has mentioned that emails will be sent to active and inactive players alike, and I would bet that there will be an announcement posted either in Game Design or Announcements.

I downloaded the new Dark Seas, ran the exec file and got the new Icon on my desktop. However when I click on it it takes me right back to Cerulean Ocean. I can not get on the new ocean to report it as a bug, so am doing it here. Any ideas or suggestions?

Did you try deinstalling both clients?

Had the same problem, now working.
