I was notified of a problem that my catapult was already sprung- creating the effect that the ball would not reach its intended target- I apologize and hope I will not be disqualified for this. ---------------------------------------- Lto of the Sage Ocean. |

~In the Defense of Viking Raids~ Commissioned for Governor O'Shea, appointed by Her Imperial Majesty to oversee the aptly-named Indefensible Province. The busy governor has requested a contraption to rouse pirates in the defense of the trifling yet persistent Viking raids. She is busy sitting upon her throne, enjoying carambolas and modeling ever-larger powdered wigs. Requesting assistance every time Vikings are spotted is simply too much work for such an understandably busy Governor. After careful consideration of the issue I've determined every conceivable, yet still technically possible, solution. My most promising proposal follows: ![]() Full size version. A small dog (A), trained to spot the approaching Viking hordes (B), will bark. This disturbs a red/gold parrot (C) whose foot is tied to a hook supporting a carefully balanced hammer (D). The hammer falls, striking a blacksmith's anvil (E). The sparks from the strike ignites the candles (F) whose flame spreads to the unlucky scarecrow (G) which quickly becomes fully engulfed. With no scarecrow, a flock of birds (H) descends upon a cornucopia (I). Tugging on a piece of corn, the ship's bell (J) rings repeatedly. Pirates (K) that recently disembarked and were heading for the Inn hear the bell. This draws their gaze to a decree (L) promising vast sums of treasure for fighting back the horde. Thus the pirates are inspired to defeat the Vikings without ever disturbing our illustrious Governor. Addendum: Should the pirates refuse the offer and instead join the Viking raid, I recommend taking a short break from trying on fancy shoes in order to summon the Imperial Guards from your outpost (M). This proposal is submitted for your perusal by Culture of the Hunter Ocean. ---------------------------------------- Culture N & G, I'm Tenacious! Hunter Ocean

Last Call Contraption On busy nights a humble barman can be run off his feet, old salts singing and swigging. Young pirates playing and perverting, baby greenies gaggling and gawking... And what is it all fuelled by? By golly, good rum! This device, this contraption, this live saver and provider of the sweet ambrosia that is booze, allows a busy barman who unknowingly runs out of liquor to be provided with an emergency supply within minutes, nay seconds of running out. Last Call Contraption See inset at the bar; The very last rumjug (a) is tied to a rope through the ceiling. Its weight is counter balanced above. As the volume in the very last rum jug decreases the rope (b) rises and travels over the ship's wheels (c) that rotate allowing the counter weight, the anvil (d) which has secured upon it a lit set of candles (e). As these candles lower they ignite the wick (f) of the bronze medium cannon adorning the roof of the fine establishment. The bronze medium cannon fires! (g) Shooting a cannonball thither to yonder ship. The cannonball lands in the crows nest (h) and descends at rapid speed through the specially designed spiral slide (I). At break-neck speed the cannonball descends below deck where it is flung in to one of three stands, based on the Treasure Drop design (j). Regardless of which it falls into, the cannon ball (along with a few of its friends) roll down the hull decks into a comfy hammock (k). The hammock begins to lower under the weight of the cannon balls (l). The rope which hangs the hammock is tied to the access trap door from the upper deck. The hammock lowers, opening the trap door (m) causing the Atlantean Princess Statue to tip over (n) knocking the rum barrels, pushing one overboard down the boarding ramp (o). The rum barrel rolls down along the dock, knocks around the corner (lucky there's a fence there) (p) and stops right outside the inn, where the fiery yet frazzled barman can collect the booze and settle the crowd! Furniture items used: 7 Rumjug, ship's wheels, anvil, candles, medium bronze cannon, cannonballs (from pile), hammock, rum barrel. Special furniture items used: 1 Atlantean Princess Statue ---------------------------------------- Rustylove - Cobalt |

Ever wanted to get rid of those annoying dragoons? ![]() The dragoon goes for a pineapple from the bowl of fruit (A), which is tied around the rope of the broken wheel (B). The force of the broken wheel pulls the dragoon up (C), and it makes the dragoon fly over to the other side (D). The dragoon is forced into a crate. Babybreezy, Sage Ocean. |

How to recolor a familiar ![]() Pirate (A) pushes cannon ball (B) which rolls and hits books (C). Books hit a sword (D) hanging on the wall, which swings and breaks the tall fetish (E). The top of the fetish hits the ship's wheel (F), makes it turn round and hit the shelf (G), causing the candles (H) on it, to fall and set on fire a string which holds a hammer (I). Hammer swings and hits cannon ball (J) which in turn, hits the bottle with color potion (K) and cracks it. Potion drop, falls on the unsuspected Octopus which lazes on a pedestal (L) and recolors it to the desired color (M). ---------------------------------------- Masters on Emerald. |

![]() http://img200.imageshack.us/i/rudegoldbergpic.jpg/ Title: How to walk your pony! You lazy pirates. 1. Set captain's clock to disired start time. Clock starts, swing pendulum. 2. Rope, attached to pendulum, is pulled 3. "Gate" attached to rope is lifted releasing awaiting lime. 4. Lime roles down plank (which is supported by a cashbox and jug) into awaiting scales. 5. Scales are rise and tip over the candles. 6. A candle falls igniting powder. 7. Powder burns around the table, up the plank. and ignites cannon. 8. Cannon fires sending a cannonball hurling across the room, and out the window. 9. Cannonball strikes your dear pony in the pillow protected "bottom" (safty first). 10. Pony "suprised" by being shot... then walks/runs/ saunters/ gallops, around the helm securely mounted into the ground. And that is how all you rich lazy pirates, may walk your pony, cause as you know, you all have enough pets that roam around the halls of your home. Special thanks to Dexla for the fun event. Hope you all like it. ~Stotiger of Sage ---------------------------------------- {Stotiger} |

The Wonderful Noise Maker For Visitors Big Picture ![]() Robroy, famous for being the most charming pirate on Opal, of course gets a lot of visits by his mates. For that reason he spent millions of PoE for creating an incredible machine. It's called "The Wonderful Noise Maker For Visitors" or short Wonomavi. Because of the chinese furniture used in there, Robroy also intends to sell this awesome invention in China, where it would be called Qímiào de zàoshng shèbèi wèi yóukè. :P So let's imagine the following situation. Robroy is sleeping soundly in his hammock while Cecelea, a good friend of him, wants to visit him. Of course she could just knock on the door... but hey... this is so old fashioned and causes the danger of getting a splinter in the hand of our adorable and fragile Cecelea. Fortunately Robroy got the Wonomavi and everything Cecelea has to do is (1) putting one Piece of Eight into the slot right in the door. Aye, you need to bring money to visit Robroy. Hey, don't blame me, High Technology is expensive. (2) The Piece of Eight is rolling down an inclined wooden board directly into the handles of a Gilded Helm. (3) The gilded helm starts to turn clockwise and is moving a bronze helm counter-clockwise which is anew driving another gilded helm in clockwise direction. Now you're definitely asking, why is the middle helm a bronze one. As you know... in the inside everything is just cheap to keep the costs low. Disenchanting? but the truth. Let's go on. One handle of the third helm is connected to a wire that leads over a winch to a hanging fan that is attached to the wall. Pulling the rope, which is caused by the rotating helm, (4) opens the hanging fan! (5) Now this wonderful ancient fan pushes a spiky coral that is kept up by a complex, but extremely unstable construction of one rope. The coral leaves its position and swings (because it's still fixed to the wall) to the right. (6) There it cuts a rope that is holding a bag of sand. The bag is falling down, directly into the left pan of a scales. On the right Pan of the scales is a powder bag, which causes the scales to be unbalanced. Now you need to know that sand has a density of 1,6 g/cm³ and gunpowder 1,2 g/cm³. That means the bag of sand is slightly heavier than the gunpowder. Of course we're adding the gravitational acceleration to the bag of sand (calculations see picture) and (7) let it hit the scales with full power. (8) The right pan is lifted up jerkily and throws up the powder bag. Attached to the bag of gun powder is a rope. This rope leads, over several winches, (9) to the hand of a Skeleton in shackles. The scales is lifting up the powder bag and for that reason also the rope. The rope gets longer, not holding the skeletons hand in the air anymore. (10) The hand falls down and pushes a key of the cembalo ... "Pling" of course we are offering any note on the cembalo to be pressed. We're adjusting your skeleton as desired. (11) This wonderful "Pling" reaches Robroys ears and makes him wake up... hopefully. Okay, here goes. Bilging! ![]() (A) A lime rolls down the Fancy Desk, bumping a Gold Candle off the desk and (B) feeding the flame in the Fireplace, which (C) rolls a Cannonball off its perch and (D) down onto the trip wire and opens the Birdcage, releasing the parrot who (E) knocks over the Blue Urn , spilling water all over the floor which scares the cat who (F) jumps over the Pile of Pillows onto the Plain Book Desk, (G) knocking over the Books onto the Scale, which (H) releases the Powder Bag which (I) bounces off of the Exotic Canopy Bed and (J) crashes through the window and rolls onto the trip wire which (K) turns on the water for both the Fancy Sink and the Bathtub, eventually flooding the bathroom and (L) causes the Bowl of Fruit to float off of the Fancy End Table down the stairs and (M) knocking over the Crate O' Herbs, which (N) triggers a domino reaction in the Bundles of Cloth, eventually (O) knocking the Bludgeon Trunk out the front door and down the stairs, showering bludgeons right on the karkinos's head, who (P) snaps at the rat, who then (Q) jumps on the Harpischord, which (R) snaps the thread that was pulled over the Potted Palm and (S) lets the Hammock go which (T) sends yours truly flying into (T) a Barrel of Rocks, sending the rocks tumbling down the stairs into (U) yet another trip wire, shooting the Gilded Cannon into the (V) Bar Shelf, which (W) knocks over a mug onto the bilge pump. And that's it. As you can tell, I'm not a very good bilger. >.< ---------------------------------------- Hollowgrace - Hunter Ocean Joosbox on all other oceans |

Greylady of Malachite Title: How to Feed Yer Cat While Out Pillaging (or doing other piratey stuff!) ![]() Click here for larger image. When the cat is hungry it (A) jumps up and grabs the ball causing the sword (B) to tilt upward raising the bar shelf causing the stein to fall (C) and bounce down the EXOTIC CANOPY BED landing near the rat nibbling on his cheese, who, frightened, (D) runs up the CAPTAIN'S CLOCK, hitting his head on the hanging pitcher full of milk which then (E) causes the pitcher to tilt, pouring milk into the kitty's bowl and also splashes the sleeping rabbit who, startled, (F) hops up onto the the PEDESTAL and (G) knocks over the jar of crunchies which fall into the waiting food bowl. Now the cat can nomnomnom! and ye can leave 'em without a worry! Faeree of Sage ![]() How Pirates REALLY Bilge A Parrot inside its birdcage (A) controls the rigging winches. Attached to the rope with the parrot birdcage is (B) two powder bags and one anchor. These items are attached to balance the weight with the rum barrel (C). The bird, in the 'sitting' position, places the bilge pump (D) in its 'down' position. The parrot, while sitting, is partially submerged in bilge water. As the bird does not like getting its feet wet, it flies upward, pushing the birdcage (A/B) up. This lowers the rum barrel (C) which then places the bilge pump (D) in the 'up' position. The bird will tire which will cause it to sit back on its perch. This then lowers the birdcage (A) which then raises the rum barrel (C) which then places the bilge pump (D) back in its 'down' position. The bird really doesn't like its feet wet so back up it goes continuing the cycle of moving the bilge pump up and down. A well-trained parrot gives the pirate the opportunity to become masterful at bilge and the time to partake in the task of drinking the rum (from a different barrel!) and practicing their lolly-gagging. ---------------------------------------- Faeree ~ Illustrious Wanderer on all oceans ~ Avvie by Tilinka!

Title: The Doomed Dockpresser. <p> ![]() So everone knows they exsit, those ennoying in-your-face dockpressers. Well I've come up with a clever solution to that problem. I put a Treasure Chest on the dock. As we all know, pirates love shiny things, so once the dock presser reaches the X and bends over to look at the treasure, my truested parrot sqwaks. The gunner abored the ship heres the parrot and fires the guns, the cannon ball passes right over the dock pressers head. The dockpresser then stands up to see what happened. The cannon obliderates the Pedestal releasing the rope. The rope, which is now loose, allows the Hammock with the Male SFing Dummies (as a weight) to swings down from the treetops and deck the dockpresser off the dock and into the water, where he/she hopefully can't swim :D ---------------------------------------- Aquestra of Malachite |
