How to resize images for avatars Reply to this Post

I have an image that i would like to make my avatar......

The only problem with it is that it is to big. I can take it into paint program and attempt to resize it and crop is but im sooo lost.

Can you help me? Since im soooo bad with computers could you say step by step like if you were talking to a child.

If you're interested in doing this yourself in future, you could also try downloading Paint Shop Pro (of which I just realized version 9 came out and I shall have to download myself). Then just open up the pic, go to Image (menu) -> Resize, and type in the dimensions in pixels or otherwise you want. Then use File -> Save As or File -> Export -> PNG, JPG, or GIF to save it for upload.
