Dress the Revoultion?
It's been a windfall month for the Revolution, as it should be since our shadowy founder, Benzene, was born this month in 1980. However, such victories do have their drawbacks. After defying all odds (and Nordenx) in the portrait contest, I'm left with a serious problem. I don't know what to wear. However, inspiration hasn't failed me entirely, since I suddenly came up with the idea of holding an all-oceans contest to pick an outfit that sets off both my tan and my new background. >.>

To enter, just go to http://www.quidproclothes.com/ and make me a great outfit. Post it in this thread. There's no price limit in the contest itself, but I probably won't splurge on a solid gold outfit, just saying. Also, no dream colors. I have to be able to buy it, even if I can't afford it.

The winner (along with everyone else) gets the honor of seeing me in the outfit that they picked out (or a reasonable approximation thereof). They also get 5000 PoE.

Edit: Oh yeah, assignments due 29 March 2008 at Midnight, PDT. Two weeks should be more than enough to decide between the 22 colors that look best with blonde and well-tanned.

Yes, post them here. I'm not expecting a huge turnout for 5K. >.>

I'll put the limit at 3 entries per person. I'd hate to be in the same situation I'm in now, only with more expensive outfits and fewer muffin hats.

That's my first shot at an outfit. It's not exactly your normal style, and it actually looks pretty hideous on any other pirate. It's my first time designing a female outfit though, so oh well.

I also changed image 2 (had rag bottoms.. changed to stripy knickers. and since lavender is a new color, you likely can't find them) I'm also not going to do the photo shop thing for the new image.. that took alot of time as it is.. lol)

Just for kicks:

The lime goes with the background, and the gold/yellow/brown complements the blonde and well-tanned goodness.

The mint goes with the spring portrait and the white compliments your loely tanned skin.

Re: Dress the Revoultion?
Here's my addition. I personally love the pairing of the vest and bloomers, and if I could afford portraits and bloomers I would rock both. But since we're both blonde and well-tanned... well, you can be a good rep for me. :)

white/mint tricorne
pink/mint vest and scarf
mint/pink bloomers
white/pink fancy boots; the secondary color doesn't matter because it's not visible. Change it as you wish. You can even sub in buckle shoes. :P

One-two punch, but third time's a charm. Let's see this:

If you want to link directly to your gallery, you have to first click on View/Edit Details, set it to PUBLIC from the dropdown menu, then copy the link next to said dropdown menu that reads "See how this gallery will look to visitors!"

Because I have a QPC account, I can click on an individual outfit in any public gallery and it'll always look like Rhodin. >.>

Re: Dress the Revoultion?
Choice #1:

Estimate cost: 20,633 poes
The black/white outfit will allow you to "pop-out" from the spring-colored portrait. Also, the white clothings provide contrast to your skin and allow us to see your true tan :)

Choice #2:

Estimate cost: 8,490 poes
"Dressing for the Season". The veil will protect you from the spring's pollen ;)

Choice #3:

Estimate cost: 42,256 poes
Another black-n-white outfit.

I really had a blast designing your outfits for you. I hope you like them. I try to make the clothings affordable for you (except maybe the last one which i went all out XD). I personally chose clothings with "bold" (dark/light contrast) colors instead of light-springy colors to prevent your character from blending into the background. The white color really do your skin justice :) Good luck choosing your outfit ^^

Hope not having a screen print is OK :) I would have done rag bottoms for at least #1 (heck, you got to show off yer tan!) but as those have to be purchased via a Rack I changed it to the short dress.

Enjoy and awesome BG :D

(And yay! a contest I actually have time to enter- woot!)

Re: Dress the Revoultion?
Since it is time for a big feast your outfit should be party-approved and comfortable.
A hat is something you really don't need... your beautiful blonde locks should be able to fly free and dance around with you on the party!
For dancing you will need some solid footwear and really can't go wrong with a pair of decent boots.
A midriff blouse to show your tan and a nice scarf to swirl around with are fundamental to be the light of the evening.
Of course you don't want anyone to take a peek under your skirt while you're on the dancefloor so it is advised to wear a pair of pants... flared off course since it's a party and you do want to look your best.

As for the colours... you can never go wrong with black!
Not entirely black of course since that would make your appearance quite sober.
This black should be lightened up with a few hints of a sparkling colour which brings out your tan and curly blonde locks.
This brings to mind a spring-and-summer favorite: yellow!

As you can see this is the perfect partywear.
Just look at you dance!

Design by Whissea from the Viridian Ocean.

Hat: None, so your beautiful blonde locks will be able to fly free and dance around with you.
Top: Midriff blouse with scarf, black / yellow
Flare pants: black / yellow
Boots: black

Auzy girl Viridian ^.^

Ok first design, Navy and white short wrap or flare pants which ever you like more, Navy to show off your lovely blue eyes, white to show off your tan, and black to make your lovely hair POP same with the second except its go maroon and the third is just the first with pants ^.^ and the reason i chose bold colors is so you don't blend into your portrait it will make you sharp and very pristine in front of a soft background and quiet lovely ^.^
