Bounty on the Riddlers Ellipse is still quite pissed that RiddleMakers exploited game mechanics to avoid war, but let's not go back to whether this was right or wrong. If OMs said it's right, it's right. But we thought of our own fun event.  Place: All around Viridian. Date: On-going, from now until there is full war between Ellipse and RiddleMakers. Registration: None. Why? Because we want RiddleMakers to reciprocate our declaration of war. Rules: PvP (Pee vee Pee) any RiddleMakers' ship out in the ocean and win. Simple as that. Anyone who wins a pvp receives a prize. For the battle to count you have to post a screenshot at some point in SF and the opponent ship in the upper right corner must be visible. You have to post the screenshot in the thread here on Viridian Ocean Forums and send a PM to me (Saintdeath). I will check the screenshot and the list of recent pvp battles. Then you try to find me in-game to collect your prize. If I don't reply it's because I'm busy or don't feel like it and try again a bit later, please. Prizes: For every battle you win, you receive PoE prize. Sloop - 1000 PoE Cutter - 1500 PoE Merchant Brig - 2000 PoE War Brig - 3000 PoE Merchant Galleon - 4000 PoE War Frigate - 5000 PoE Grand Frigate - 8000 PoE Additionally, there will be extra 10000 PoE prize to the person that does the best job in hunting Riddlers. Note again that this event will end the moment full war between RiddleMakers and Ellipse takes place. Also, believe it or not, members of RiddleMakers cannot participate. ;) Picture provided by JohnDigger Paint Skillz Inc. A company that doesn't know that Y!PP != B!H. You're implying there that we wouldn't lose any ships, or a negligeable amount. I understand your reasoning, but it's an odd stance to take for one as evidently confident in your flag as you present yourself to be. Ah! Okay, there's the misunderstanding. A sloop pvp with you will be costing us 1k total, not 1k per person on the ship. If we were at war, however, a sloop pvp would potentially cost us 20k. I understand you wish to bankrupt us - 20k per sloop battle would go a lot further towards that goal than 1k per sloop battle. Likewise with brigs, and frigs. Re: Bounty on the Riddlers All i know is i tried pvping a riddlemakers sloop yesterday....we lost....had a bit of damage when we entered and they had more people than us (stupid ring indicator!) but meh....i'll try again sometime soon...like Triggster said, we'll only lose a bit of booty, which we can only regain, but if we win, heck, we got 1k in the pocket and whatever for winning teh pvp. I'm only bothering for the fact there's nothing better to do on this ocean, i mean, i got nothing against Riddlemakers, i do have an affinity with money though :) I mean heck, why's everyone so fussed? Re: Bounty on the Riddlers I guess I have an incorrect view on pvps. Id pvp my own flag just for the fun of it. I see pvps as a test of skill, not an act of violence. Meh, guess its good I dont take out many ships; I could potentially lose my flag alliances. (However, if a flagmate/ally does wish to disengage, Id definately let them. Re: Bounty on the Riddlers Okay, let's be fair then. Pvping floated ships is a nasty tactics. It does work, but I think it's a cheap way to get your crew's pvp rating up. So if you see the Gross Hammerhead (or any other brig/frigate) with less than 40% occupied stations it doesn't count for bounty. I know in war undermanned ships are a pretty target, but this, sadly, isn't war. ----------------------------------------

I always thought the SF screen shot requirement was to avoid paying for fake fights. This is yer event, Saintdeath: you can apply the Spirit of the Event and pay legit fights only, and not the pathetic hoax fights some little brat is trying to create. You don't have to adhere to loopholes in your rules like the OM's did with theirs, which caused this whole situation. ---------------------------------------- Blackeye |
