Re: PvP, game design, and what's fun Okay, this is getting silly. Regardless of what pirates did, we would like PVP to be viable. We would also like trading to be viable. Separate from the beating the economy has taken from sudden, simultaneous expansions of all kinds, both had good and bad points. Making both of their good points outweigh their bad has proven to be our most challenging task by far, as most of the contributors to this thread certainly know. Rather than argue whether or not one should be involved in the game (it will), let's try to see what can do to make both of them more fun.
