I like it. Not sure of practical uses, but it could be some kind of facility to tell inhabitants of potential island-only activities. Like if you wanted to throw a tourney for local players only to celebrate the one year anniversary of taking the island or something. It wouldn't be terribly useful, but now and again, it would be a handy thing to have.
