Re: Blockades News and Island Openings

Due to behavior in recent blockades, we are updating our policy to help defenders deal with mass drops from flags with no intention to blockade fairly.

http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/Official:Policy#Blockades

If at the end of round one the attacking flag is not putting up sufficient fight, as determined by the Oceanmaster on duty, we will consider that as their flag's consent to end the blockade early.

Therefore in such cases, a petition to end the blockade after round one will only be required from the defender, the attacker's agreement will not be necessary.

A clarification of our policy has been made here.

If at any time the attacking flag is not putting up sufficient fight, as determined by the Oceanmaster on duty, we will consider that as their flag's consent to end the blockade early.

A blockade still has to run until the end of round one.

The intention of this point in policy is to prevent defenders from being required to continue to mount a defense when there is no significant attack on the board.
