Re: Avast! a sinking blockade at Harmatten

lets see

yer were out of stock just before the eight blockade weekend when yer were off trying to get Kirin . . .

Oh wait that was that was only after someone dropped on you and you decided to tactically stop selling supplies dockside . . .

Had to buy at Kirin that weekend instead . . oops

I always have to laugh at the ability for attacker to buy their supplies from the island they are about to attack

You may have missed the point on this one. Not selling supplies is different from not having them. By cutting off sales to their opponent, they make the blockade more difficult. The post you were replying to said that they weren't stocked during peace time for pillages. That would be a bad business plan rather than a smart blockade plan.

(I hope I didn't completely miss the point of your post. If I did, I apologize.)

Psst i think it was sarcastic.

Well It is true that a "while ago" some commodities were hard to get dockside in Harmattan
It is also true that the only time I really recall looking recently was *just* before the big set of recent blockades

Which nicely led to my comment about
- it is good to see a flag being able to control its dockside sales *just before* a blockade to the detriment of the attacker in the blockade

So - actording to Kovy - the old lack of commodities is a thing of the past
and - the control of commodities just before a blockade is indicative of some managerial skill

So yes - *some* sarcasm there . . . in the bit about dockside control just before a blockade

Re: Avast! a sinking blockade at Harmatten

Okay i have to get to the bottom of this rumor.

Is it true Cry Havoc planked Belgica?

Yes they did. supposedly I was there to "puzzle" (according to an XO, while a frig with 75 on it was waiting for me), and after I was planked I was told that they were disapointed that they always come to help P4P, yet I (who doen't represent P4P) was not helping them.

I do not care what appology was sent after this event occured. I do not help flags that do not know how to organize themselves to such a simple level as to have those ranked officer+ be able to distinguish between a naver and a jobber.

Honestly, someone in Cry Havoc find my post on the viridian forums about asking me to nav for you.

I was asked indirectly to nav, and never talked to after. I show up, no one decides to crew me up, and I get planked a couple minutes later.

Next time you tell me that P4P treats you bad by providing a good jobbing environment, paying you, thanking you, and putting up tourneys for you, I am helping the other side.

I am not at all surprised that you lost, my oppinion being based on how you treat those that come to help you, and how you had 205 jobbers, only 72 of which were on the board at one instance.
I am relatively glad you lost, because a flag that cannot handle a blockade should not win one, no matter who they are allied to. I am however sad that my friends wasted time helping you.

*exit* a quite disapointed Belgica.

12 on the list and last 2 weekends are missing.

Could someone help me with last weekend? VG 3:0 SK at Olive, NWO 3-1 SC at Viridis, RM 3-0 Morrowind at Labyrinth and Subtle Tease 3-0 Legions of the Sea at Conglin if my memmory is correct.

Laby and Conglin were Saturday and Olive and Viridis were Sunday, right?

That would make 17 blockades in one month.

EDIT: I fixed wiki now.

Re: Avast! a sinking blockade at Harmatten

I figured as much, Belgica. All i had to hear was you and "plank" to know somebody screwed up.

Lansky, you should have taken me up on my friendly war request back in Christianity. Your flag would've gained some cold hard experience. The kind i, yanno, tend to offer as compensation for sunken ships in a weaker flag.

Twiggy,
looking forward to next time.
