Posting this on Pennsuedo's request. This is for the flag named Equinox or the great merger of Rudder's, Hell's Outcast's, and X mark's the Spot.

Here's an artwork Raymes (Captain of Crociata Imperio) comissioned. As payment, I gave my own ship called "The Artistic Avenger'!!!!!! Thank you Raymes!!!

And here's a fun little photo-manipulation of that same pic:

To see more of my art gallery as Imperio's official flag artist, go to ArtsyCrap.alucinari.com and go to the "Lanie's Gallery" section. (^_^)

Ok, I wouldn't call this fan art, unless to say I'm simply a fan of the game. This is my pirate NyteShade. Feel free to check out my lame web page.

Very nice! What program is that? It looks a lot like real painting. I suppose that's kind of the point. Same thing, except you don't have to buy paints, and it's easier to put your pics online, ne? I love the colors and lighting. Any inspiration for the pic?

Nice, I'll have to mess with that some. Not only free, but less than a 2MB download at that.

And my first attempt at a self-portrait using ArtRage:

I thought of using it as an avatar, but couldn't get it to resize down well enough (since I use a large hi-res screen, the original has to be 1024x768 ir it ends up being like trying to paint a postage stamp.)

Oh yeah... Anyone got some V8 to spate? (bonus points for whoever gets the obscure cultural reference on that one...)

Ok. I gave it a try. I haven't done a lot of painting. I mostly stick with pencils and pastels but here's what I came up with. For me, I think it turned out looking more like oil pastels than painting, but that's just my style I guess! I added some lines & things in photoshop. Used the tracing paper in ArtRage. What do you think?

Oh yeah, and the program is great with a Wacom tablet!!

Nice. I do agree that it ends up coming out looking like oil pastels (if you use larger brush sizes it looks more like acrylics.) About the only complaint I have with the program so far is that it needs better handling of the color pallete. If you accidentally select a different color when you're doing something, you'll pretty much never be able to get exactly the same one back. And yes, a tablet is pretty much a necessity to get good results (a TabletPC would be even better.)

I think the idea with this program is that it's supposed to be more blended, less even. So probably getting the exact same shade back wasn't a priority in making it. It's pretty easy to work around. Getting a different tone just makes it look a bit more lively, IMESHO.

Using an imac running OS jaguar there is a fantastic program where something such as that can be resized very nicely down. Id you want it for an avatar I can crop out the face part for you and size it down to an avatar if you'd like and send you the file.

I did this, which is for a crew mate.

The background feels really out of place...

I'm not a huge fan of color. At all.

But, I did remember drawing a Piratess back when I was taking Java in college. (Which means, this picture is dated circa 6 years ago).

If anyone feels like coloring, by all means, take over:

This is a little something I threw together to advertise my position of "Official Crew Scapegoat" of Sinking Feelings. For the low, low price of 50 poe any crew member may obtain my scapegoat services.

Bootch Battle nav? call Llama. Get Black-shipped? only 50 poe.

I'll take anything as small as getting a poor on carpentry or anything as big as losing a Blockade. 50 poe in my pocket and the blame is mine.

anywho - enjoy the art.

By chance do these services extend beyond your crew for a slightly higher price? If so, I think you might have a new #1 customer ;)

I've been lurking in the fan art type threads for a while and admiring all the excellent art work. When I read about Art Rage I thought that I should definitely give it a go : )

What a great fun program and free too!

So here is my first effort, using crayon because I'm clueless with these kinds of programs and using a mouse =P

Heh... Art Rage has made me so enthusiastic I ordered a tablet today : )

Plus they're actually cheaper than I expected.

Can anyone recommend any good art software that is not too ruinously expensive?
