Escape on Cobalt

This entry is one of my favorites, of my own entries. It represents a treasure map piece that is shaped as a puzzle piece, since Puzzle Pirates to me, is using puzzles to find treasures.. be it friendships, fun, poe, or whatever you enjoy in the game! I encased it in an unusual looking puzzle piece, since Puzzle Pirates is different than any other puzzle game you've ever played.

32 x 32= 128 x 128=

Variations...

32 x 32= 128 x 128=

32 x 32= 128 x 128=

32 x 32 = or 128 x 128 = or

32 x 32= 128 x 128=

32 x 32= 128 x 128=

32 x 32 = or 128 x 128 =

Variations of the Puzzle Map...

32 x 32 = 128 x 128 =

32 x 32 = or 128 x 128 =

32 x 32 = 128 x 128 =

32 x 32 = 128 x 128 =

32 x 32 = 128 x 128 =

32 x 32 = 128 x 128 =

32 x 32 = or 128 x 128 =

32 x 32= 128 x 128 =

32 x 32= 128 x 128=

32 x 32= or 128 x 128=

32 x 32= 128 x 128=

32 x 32= 128 x 128=

This following idea came to me after I lost in the semi-finals of a monkey tournament due to a very lucky drop by my opponent on the very last turn of the game... I call it, X marks the luck.. basically, it's an x, that marks the spot of the treasure... wait, or is it a 4 leaf clover that represents how much luck is involved with the puzzles in Puzzle Pirates? =P Either way, X marks the spot to find puzzle pirates, and why not pick up some luck as you click to launch the game ;)

32 x 32 = or 128 x 128 = or

The meaning behind this entry is rather simple... Puzzle Pirates brings the world together with puzzles.

32 x 32 = 128 x 128 = or

Variations...

or
or

This following entry has a meaning that many might not be able to determine on their own.. unless they are avid players. I took one of each type of pp player, which in a way, make up the world of Puzzle Pirates. We have the Greeters (Pink), Newbies (Green), Subscribers or Veterans (Yellow), and the OMs (Blue). Each type of player has it's own role in the game, and without one, the game wouldn't be the same.. so in this icon, the 4 types of players fit together, to make Puzzle Pirates the experience that it is.
32 x 32 = or 128 x 128 =

This following entry is very meaningful... Puzzle Pirates to me, is a window to a new world, and a new place to have fun and escape the troubles and monotony of the real world.
32 x 32 = 128 x 128 =

I decided to throw in a little bonus and design one for the test ocean, Ice...

Well here's my entry. The first version at least. I might wind up making other icons later.

It's a simple design, based on the idea of puzzle peices falling together to look like a skull. There a background circle I based off of a bilging peice.

Beginning my post with
/

While familiars aren't necissarily a huge part of the game, everyone who plays Y!PP certainly recognizes them, and almost all of us hope to one day have one of our very own. Plus their cuteness factor ties in to the style of the game itself.

Everyone knows that you can't be a true pirate without your secret treasure map.

Because SF blocks are just that cool.

This is probably my favorite because of the squishy octopus and because it's just so piratey. A clean, clear, icon-sized view into the versatile world of Y!PP

/
/
Well duh. If their were ever a universal sign for Pirate, it would have to be the hook.

Just a simple Y!PP icon, with a sneaky octo tentacle stealing one of the letters. I'll be happy to create the large version for you if anyone's interested in using this.

We wouldn't be proper pirates if we weren't capable of sailing the seas. Here everyone from the fabulous wealthy to the ragged and poor can hop on their trusty sloop and sail to their heart's content.

Of course I'd be willing to edit any of these in anyway should y'all so desire. Plus, in the likely event that my humble icons aren't chosen, I'd be happy to make them available for anyone who does happen to like them and would like to use them for their personal piratey pleasure

Meridiani of the Viridian Ocean!

The Four Corners of Y!PP
Large Size:

Original:

Other Versions:
Version Two:
Large Size:

Original:

Description: This icon is a representation of what I believe are the Four Corners of Y!PP. Each puzzle piece is the same color as one of the color blocks in the swordfight puzzle. The blue puzzle piece represents all the puzzles that exist within the game, especially swordfighting (which in my opinion, is the best puzzle in the game! :D). The green piece represents ships, pillaging, blockades(things to do with vessels). The yellow piece represent the economies, which also includes stalls, shops, and dubloons to make poe. The red piece represents the hearties, or friends, that you make while playing Y!PP and have in your hearts for the rest of your life. :)

Y!PP in a Bottle
Large Size:

Original:

Other Versions:
Large:

Original:

Description: Y!PP is like an entire new world in the palm of your hand (or, in literal terms, within reach by a click of a mouse). I took an item from the game that sort of represented the same thing: having a ship in the palm of your hands. You have downsized the object of your desire considerably, but your love for that object and its meaning does not shrink along with the object. Just like the Ship in the Bottle furniture, I have made a Y!PP in a Bottle, which represents my(our) love for Y!PP and what Y!PP is all about.

Yes, I know, according to gravity, the water in the bottle shouldn't act like that. But who is to say that it is YOU who is tilting your head? :) After all, we are all pirates. Perhaps our perception has been handicapped? :P

Y!PP Treasure Box
Large Size:

Small Size:

Description: This icon symbolizes the moment every time you log on to Y!PP. The actual process of logging on isn't that grand, and you don't really think about it too much, but it's like opening up a treasure box full of the largest jewels and purest gold. However, you don't exactly open up the world Y!PP offers ye until ye get that key. The keyhole that you would usually see in a treasure chest is replaced with the puzzle piece hole. Obviously, the key is in the shape of a puzzle. So, the various puzzles are what unlock this world and let it seep into ours, ever so slowly. I added the two pirates fighting in the box to give the treasure inside more life and realness.

The True Puzzle Pirate
Large Size:

Small Size:

Other Versions:

Description: Here I show a pirate who is literally a part of a puzzle. :) His arm, head, and leg form the shape of the other half of the puzzle piece. I think the icon is self-explanatory: Y!PP combines two great topics, pirates and puzzles, into one superb game!

I have had trouble making these last ones transparent and I've no idea why.

My entries are all related. Either small could go with either large.

These icons are obviously inspired by bilge and carp pieces, but because of the requirement for original artwork, I have drawn stylized versions of the in-game art. If the Ringers like my concept but not my art (which is understandable - Nemo and company have far more talent), I suggest they recreate the images with either in-game art or their own stylized images. A carp piece over the circle from a sail piece also looks nice. (I did some cut-and-paste for my inspiration, but not my entry.)

I'm Freebooter I've decided to try to make an icon. This game is made to take place in the pirate golden age in the 15th and 16th century isn't it? Well I made something that looked like it would come out of that time period. Perhaps written by monks like those in the image of my signature. When players see it they will feel like they are in the Golden Age of piracy.

Rufus of 'The Black Flag Mariners' on Viridian
---------------------
Here are my first images I hope they go down well.

The first is a question mark and cross bones

The second is a cannonball with an eye patch

The third symbolises world wide piracy

This has a winking skull. Just like what your pirate does when you win POE

Sticking to the skull theme

And again

Guess I like skulls

I think I have a serious winking skull problem. Anyone know who I should call.

At last one that is not a skull

And with a blue hat

And with a coin

And with a cannon

One with a nice grey moustache

I am moving house so if I have time I will post more.

Looks like I had time lol
