And suddenly, all the brigands went poof! Reply to this Post

I've just be noticing a severe lack of green, or light blue small sloops in the Jet archipegalo.

This is making it incredibly hard for those who job members in Jet, and consequently, don't get many takers. The only ship I came across, that I could pillage with a crew of 5 people, 4 moderately good new-ish guys, was a Guava navy ship.

There were too many before, now they're are too few of em!

Maybe its because the people you have are too good? Are there green merchant brigs or war brigs etc?

Don't worry, found em now.

They were all between Xi and Heph.

Every single easy brigand between Xi 'n Heph...a bug alone, right?

Interesting question: Is it ever possible to pillage a map off a Navy ship, and if so, does the Navy ship actually lose that map?

I would assume the answer to the first is "no" (and therefore implicitly the second is "no" as well), but it's worth an inquiry into whether the devs have special-cased this.

No, and no. Also, I asked the Ringers once if the brigands actually "lost" the maps they lose to ye, so that they forget how to take certain routes and was told that they do not.

That would be funny. Pillage a brigand until they had no maps and they'd just sit at the next island doing nothing forever :)

Aww.. Yer sense of humor just isn't the same as mine it seems.
I didn't mean "the brigands are all stuck and there aren't any floating around" funny, I meant "that is an amusing bug which should be fixed soon" funny.

It wasn't my ship. I just wish I had a ship full of purple people eaters. In fact I dont even own a ship at all.. just a lowly Iron Monger on Spring.. That's Spring Blade on Spring. Tell your neighbors, tell your friends, shop at Spring Blade for more dividends*

*ok.. i couldn't think of anything witty that rhymed with friends..

This is the original thread on the purple brigands: http://www.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=2865

People have been encountering alien brigands since the new archs were added.
