I thought I'd share this 'work in progress' version of something I have been playing rouwith for the last 30mins.

Enjoy :)

Not sure what to do next, maybe a sword rack.

aye,

I think the metal edging it too thick, so I will need to make that thinner, as well.

ye thought what was? that it was made of it, or the stuff around it was :P

I now added the corner braces, some handles and a lock.

I have also started the sword Rack, but it looks like its made from one peice of wood :( and before anyone comments, the Foil aint finished, there are 3 other sword to go in there, but I haven't made them yet.

It looks like one peice of wood because you've meshsmoothed one mesh. Don't use meshsmooth. Refine in more vertices where you need them. If things are made from multiple pieces, then make them from multiple pieces.

Aye I used the meshsmooth to get a more rounded form to the backing, I will just apply it to the backing, and leave the bars and base alone :D

Don't apply it at all. It's very vague and clumsy. Just make the shape to the detail you want in the first place. The curvy wood bits in our version of the sword rack are simple extruded shapes.
