Consider it Sunk - Intent to blockade Magpie Reply to this Post

Consider it Sunk would like to invite ye to help us claim Magpie Island and share in our vision to transform it into a thriving, fun community - we are truly committed to making Magpie an island for all pirates. You will find below that our intentions for the island include stock producing bazaars, affordable housing and an Explorer’s hall. This will ensure the island is always stocked at competitive prices and also a source of expeditions. We hope that pirates of all experience levels will find Magpie to be their go-to destination for starting greedy hunts, heading to wild seas or venturing out to sea monster hunts.

Island Plan
Magpie is a medium island, meaning that we can build an unlimited amount of infrastructure buildings but are limited to up to six trade/housing buildings. The flag have given a lot of time and thought as to what should be constructed to cover the needs of all pirates, regardless of fame, wealth or experience.

You will be able to see what Magpie will look like once we have completed our full building plans:

Infastructure
Infrastructure buildings will begin with the building of a fort (with the plan to upgrade to a Palace as one of our primary focuses). The fort will function as the Commodities Market until the Market is built – we aim to begin construction of the Market in the second week. We will also be looking to construct the remaining infrastructure buildings – Estate Agent, Bank and Inn.

Attraction
As mentioned above, the attraction for Magpie will be an Explorer’s Hall, which has yet to be seen on the ocean. This will allow us to attract pirates to Magpie who want to share in the fun of Imperial Outposts, Viking defenses and Brigand King battles.

Housing
As Amateur Hour have already confirmed Townhouses and Villas at Loggerhead, we have decided that Consider It Sunk’s choice of housing will be a Manor – so a healthy nine rooms to play with and four of your friends to share it with!

Bazaars/Shoppes
Consider it Sunk are dedicated to making sure that Magpie is an island ready to build and stock ships of all shapes and sizes, therefore we will be building three bazaars – Shipyard, Ironmonger and Distillary. Not only will this help turn Magpie into an island to begin your wild seas pillages or sea monster hunts, but it will also compliment the Explorer’s hall - as well as becoming a new hub for business and shoppe owners.

Finally, we will be building a shipyard shoppe, which will be focused on pumping out larger ships into the ocean – this time at competitive and fair prices. It should be noted that the final shoppe has not yet been decided – we will reveal what this is in due course.

Whilst all of the above is being built (particularly bazaars), CiS is committed and engaged to make sure pirates will be able to begin running pillages and sea monster hunts by making sure there is enough stock on the island, sold through the fort/palace.

Taxes
Taxes will be set at 0% for the foreseeable future.

We very much hope that you will support Consider it Sunk at Magpie tomorrow. We will be giving you generous amounts of trivia, giveaways and prizes including a familiar, pets and limited edition ships. We will also be paying 2k for tops and token tops. Jobbing begins at 11am – we hope to see you there!

Considering there's a Shipyard, IM, and Distilling bazaar already at Loggerhead, is there any chance you would reconsider your choice of bazaars so we can have more variety in that arch, at least till the OMs decide to open up another island. The current plan seems to be nearly a mirror of Loggerhead's

A weavery and apoth would be nice.

The game is in its current state only because of the players and the community.

The game itself is great, and always will be. The players are the rudder which determine the direction in which the game goes.

Despite it being a mirror of loggerhead, it would be in the best interest of the flag, as well as most other pirates, to be able to produce all types of stock rather than furniture, paint, dyes etc. I think you will find that producing these goods on PV or NH and shipping them in is far outweighed by the ability to produce ship necessities.

Seeing the Game developers haven't released new islands to be released any time soon, is why I feel a duplicate island isn't the best but the royals of CIS will do what they will and their right to do so.

Stock can be sold from the palace while allowing for the other stalls to be opened spreading them out benefiting the shop keepers or the ocean.

It doesn't seems to matter as the plan is in place and I was told they won't alter it.

Could put it on the OM's as they should have released an island with sugar (they did) and hemp (they didn't). Doesn't change that we need to spread some stalls out on this ocean.

Thanks to all these who came out to support Consider it Sunk today - we are incredibly appreciative - we have already begun our building works and will endeavour to keep all updated as we progress in looking after this beautiful island.

Thanks also to Lion's Bane who fought a great fight and also to Blame Brenda for making Round 4 a tad more interesting than a point sit!
