What happens to a shoppe when it dusts? Reply to this Post

If a player stops paying rent for a shoppe and it dusts, can you get it "back to life" in somehow?

Can you ever loose the deed if you don't pay rent?

If your shop doesn't have enough PoE to pay rent for 4 weeks, it will dust, stalls dust after 2 weeks.

There is no way to get shop back, except by getting the governor to build you a replacement, or opening a new stall. All commodities and incomplete orders will be lost. Customers who had orders that weren't completed will lose all the PoE the paid. All furniture will be sent back to their owner and anything in those furniture items (swords, clothes, etc) will be returned to the furniture own also. Any clothes on a tailor's rack will be lost.

So that means that when a shoppe dusts it frees up a place on the island the governor has the ability to construct a new shoppe/building in its place?

Yes. When a shop dusts, it leaves a pile of rubble that the governor can petition an OM to clear up, or they can build a new shop on that spot. If the original shop was built over commodity spawns, the commodities will not be replaced when it dusts, even if an OM cleans it up.
