I've recently had a debate about whether or not puzzle-fighting oriented game play would fit under the "fighting" category of gaming. What does everyone think? Would you consider the Sword-Fighting puzzle to be a sub-genre of fighting games?

Puzzle Pirate's Swordfight would not be a fighting game or subgenre of it by that definition. A player is not controlling a character onscreen during the Swordfight puzzle.
