The pattern when buying a sword? Reply to this Post

When you go to buy a sword and you hold the cursor on the sword, a pattern appears. What does that pattern mean?

When you send attacks to your opponent's screen, which color of blocks blocks they receive, and where they land, are always based on the sword you are using. Some swords are relatively strong for sprinkle-based attacks (lots of unique colors on the bottom 1-2 rows that don't connect), and some are better for sword attacks (vertical pattern isn't easy to break). The pattern you get when viewing a sword is an example of that sword's drop pattern. The colors of the sword can affect which blocks are which colors (for example, the red and blue blocks might be switched), but the pattern of unique colors is the same.
