Over the past couple of weeks, Puzzle Pirates has been the target of a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. We have already taken action to help mitigate the effects of the current attacks, and we are lining up further steps that can be taken going forwards.

Our engineers continue to closely monitor the situation, however it is still possible that the attacks may cause additional disruption. If that happens, the Ocean Masters will be on hand to assist you. Please do not hesitate to contact us via petition if, due to an outage, you experience:
    * pillaging losses
    * foraged or purchased gems that were lost
    * trades/transfers or ship movements which were not completed correctly
    * sunk ships

We unfortunately cannot replace:
    * wagering losses
    * treasure chests from SMHs
    * tournament losses

We are working on ways to lessen the blow for our players who have been affected by the downtime, and we'll post more about that here as details become available.

Due to the downtime, the Chocolate Mystery Box is extended until 3:00 PM PDT on September 20.

We are disabling rent for a 14-day period on all oceans to help out those pirates whose mercantile efforts were affected by the recent downtime. Rent will be switched back on on October 3rd.

Edit to clarify: The rent on buildings will show as 0 after the current rent is paid. After October 3, building rent will return to previous levels the next time rent is due. If you have other specific questions, please send in a petition in game.
