Finally I have the time to muster the effort for an event I've had swirling in my mind for a long time, I introduce to you, HARDCORE EXPLORING! The central idea of this event boils down to: Squishat and I will be running non-stop brigand kings, sinking imperial outposts, viking raids, the object is to actively participate in as many voyages as possible. This event is FREE so anyone can enter! **Just as I love to explore, so does a good friend of mine who I am proud to announce will be co-running the event with me! Introducing the amazing Squishat!** Favorite form of exploration (BKs, IOs, VRs) Time zone (optional but will help me Rules (refined) (subject to change) 1. Only BK trinkets won on a ship that is part of the competition will be valid (a ship I or Squishat are navigating, during a run one of us are hosting) all others will not be counted. 2. Anyone caught attempting to add extra trinkets is automatically disqualified. 3. You can only turn in trinkets for yourself, you may not give your trinkets to others to turn in. 4. Each person may enter with only one pirate. 5. Grounds for disqualification from the event (/plank and /mute): * Leaving in battle. * Straightlining in fray. * Lazing during the battle, not gunning when supposed to. Absolutely zero tolerance policy for lazers, this is a tournament for those who love to explore, not those who love to snore! 6. IOs and VRs (since they don't give trinkets to all players aboard depending on size of map) will be scored on a participation basis, ie: you are on the ship during a successful attack you are awarded 1 point. 7. WE ARE NOT OBLIGED TO AWARD TRINKETS. /e does CPR on Squishy WE GOT A PULSE! WOOO! SHE WILL LIVE! XD (* If you are experiencing repeated disconnects, we will try to accommodate you, but not if we suspect you of abusing it. ) Prizes for Overall: * 1st - Serpent Familiar * 2nd - Cursed class sloop * 3rd - Plain sloop * 4th - 6th Prizes including but not limited too gilded furniture, SMH furniture, cultist conditioners, "explorer" outfits, possibly more to be added. Prizes for each of BK/VR/IO: * 1st Bks - Full set of BK banners * 1st IOs - Choice of Cockade or Shacko hat in any standard color (excluding black/ gold) * 1st VRs - Berserker pelt in any standard color (excluding gold/ black) **UPDATE** You can now add the pirates Explorebot and Squishbklist to your hearties list, they will notify all online participants via /tell before a voyage is run (first come first serve) additionally I will post a few hours before a run may be scheduled. I invite everyone to /tell me or Squishat any additional questions or concerns or suggestions (I may post ones I find generally useful below), thanks! Some great questions so far: Q: Do I need anything to participate? A: No, it is free to participate, but PLEASE KEEP IN MIND ONLY PIRATES WITH PIRATE BADGES (Or higher) ARE AWARDED TRINKETS AFTER ANY EXPEDITION. Q: Will you be going non-stop or non-stop while you're online? A: Non-stop as far as I'm online, and while my schedule allows. Q: Will you be posting a schedule in advance of the times you'll be running voyages? A: That's a great idea (Shooshy) I will try to do just that! Q: Will your crew be allowed to enter? A: Yes they will be, but keep in mind only voyages I (Salvatrucha) navigate will count for trinkets (thanks Candyh!). Q: How will you know people just didn't get trinkets on their own time? A: For BKs I will /info/ print after every battle won to see who was infact on the ship, VRs I will make sure everyone is awarded a trinket (who is present), IOs I am still working out a system that will be announced before this event begins. Q: I don't use forums, is it still possible for me to enter? A: Of course! Send me a tell in-game and I'll enter on your behalf. Q: What will the standard booty division split be and where does KB go? (An excellent question Blackteach!) A: The crew this is being run out of will adjust rates to 20% restock, jobbers delight (the 20% to cover stock costs), krakens bloods won during any voyage will be sold and the PoE converted into more maps/ compasses (no profit for us navving/ hosting the event). Tl;dr This is not an event for the lazy, go away!
