Monthly Familiar Puzzle Competitions continue to be announced herein! Competitions will generally be posted by the end of the first week of the month. May May is Mystery Month. Can we please get a fix for the foraging bug? >.< I topped the forage board with my second incred, though I admit it wasnt very high (ended 12th). My next puzzle should have scored higher than even the one I had during the New Years comp and it was scored with a Fine. It is extremely frustrating for the bug to persist for so long. |

It is very frustrating, and while I would agree that it's persisted for far too long, the remedy is pretty simple. ---------------------------------------- Geologist. |

While I agree the remedy is simple, in situations like today the simple remedy is ineffective and worthless. Had the board scored as it should have it was guaranteed a top 3 placement if not #1 forage. In the short multi-puzzle comps, a certain amount of time can be allotted to each puzzle, if a portion of that time is consumed by a board that improperly scores it negates the chances in the entire comp. |

It takes like 5 seconds to set up a piece clear after the crates clear. Oh, I am not referring to that foraging bug but rather the other. As there are two. I am referring to the glitch where you do an incredible worthy board, and are scored a fine. No noticeable glitch, nothing to fix except to abandon after the false duty report and re-take the station. |

I hardly think "the workaround is simple" hardly justifies a massive glitch that has existed since the puzzle's inception. Let's not degrade someone pointing out that it's poor programming, poor customer service and in general, poor product to have a puzzle malfunctioning for years when this is a puzzle oriented game. ---------------------------------------- Cremate on Emerald. I'm not degrading him. I agree with him, the glitch needs to be fixed, but the workaround is simple, so it's not like the game is just going to randomly give him a Fine for a board that should really be a high Incredible. I was pointing out that the glitch he was getting was something that, for now at least, could be easily avoided. I know it's not ideal, but we don't live in a world where unicorns crap out filet mignon and rainbows. I just now filed a bug report, linking to the thread. As far as I know the bug is constant for everybody on every puzzle or is it not? Everyone has to deal with it. It's not the only bug with foraging/foraging scoring either. If that's how you feel about the game you don't have to play. Noone is forcing you. So I was watching Emerald's scores... and after the winners were announced Timmydude moved into 8th position. This of course had no effect on the overall outcome of the competition, but I guess I'm a little concerned that this might end up happening to someone a little higher up and they may miss out on a prize they were entitled to. I think it's the board that's slow to update: I've watched the board before on an alt, and had my name come up in the overall winners for something at the end of the competition, before my score updated on the board.
