  WINNERS POSTED HERE What are we doing?Having a contest How do we play? By making an ornament Why do we do this? Because we have time on our hands... When do we have to do this? Before the end of monday december 31 2012. I need some new christmas tree ornaments. I want you to make me some kind of homemade christmas tree ornament. final product should be big and small enough to hang on a christmas tree The choice of materials is entirely yours - whatever you feel inspired to use. The choice of theme is - piratey or seasonal or any random idea you have. Make sure to state your choice in your entry post so that we can appreciate it! Normal forum rules apply! PRIZES Tan/orange parrot familiar Sealed deed for 1 ice blue sloop Frost class sloop winter themed furniture seasonal trinkets I'm keeping prizes flexible, depending on the quantity and quality of entries * The deadline is 11:59pm pirate time on Monday December 31 2012. * One entry per person. * You should make an actual object, rather than creating something by computer or by drawing. * You will need to take a digital photograph of your creation, and upload it to your computer. * Take one picture of materials before you start, one "display" picture of your final creation, and one additional shot containing a card showing your pirate name. * Your final display image for the entry post will be a .jpg or .png file * Your display image should be no larger than 600 x 600 pixels * You will need to upload your images to an external hosting site, to get a url for each image * Post the materials and identification image urls just as they are, so that they show as links rather than images. * Your entry post should include your pirate name and theme, the display image of your created object (in image tags) and the materials and identification images (as urls). * This thread should be used for questions or comments, as well as for entries. words shamelessly stolen frum Apollo's making things contest ---------------------------------------- <3 Trollololol <3 ---------------------------------------- [Edit 6 times, last edit by Iomelissaol at Jan 4, 2013 10:29:09 PM] |

Do you need to be a subscriber to enter? uhmmm nope..... I made it out of polymer clay and baked her in the oven, then cooled her off in the freezer. Then she said cheese for the camera! Pixelpixie (Cerulean) I made this ornament using "Fimo" and "Sculpey" polymer clay and acryllic paint . The ornament with name Card  And on the Christmas Tree  The ornament represents family during this holiday season with a piratey twist. It is of my two boys *playing* with their troublesome familiars. Very few holidays ever happen without a little bit of mischief or trouble, and rarely goes smoothly and as planned. Though hopefully very few of us will struggle with familiars trying to take our wooden swords and candy canes this season! Here is a little closer look at my Mischief and Trouble A couple progress shots: 1 2 3 4 It took me about 3 days to finish from concept to tree .
