As the air starts to cool and a bitter breeze starts to blow keep yourself warm by Bashing the Brigands! From Monday December 17th until Monday December 31st every registered crew should try to win as many battles against Brigands or Barbarians as possible. How to Participate: *Register your crew before Friday, December 14th at 11:59 PM pirate time. *To register post your pirate name, crew name and a designated event contact for your crew in the entry thread for your ocean. * Listing an event contact is optional. The event contact of your crew needs to be a member of the crew and be noted in the crew statement in the following way: "Event Contact "Brigand Bash": (pirate name)". *Any officer or above at the time of registration may register their crew. *Set sail and pillage the night away! Prizes: *1st place A Grandiose Crew Hall paid for and furnished by the Ocean Masters! * A Grandiose crew hall will be purchased at the island of the winning crew's choice (as long as that island has an existing Pirate Hall location). * Furnishing will be done at the Ocean Master's discretion and according to their tastes. We don't take requests (sorry!) * Furnishing includes paint. If your crew has an official colour please let us know. It will be taken into consideration but the final colour scheme is at the discretion of the decorating Ocean Master. * Placed furniture will remain the property of the Ocean Master that placed it. Furniture returned to the Ocean Master will not be replaced. No exceptions. *2nd place Haunted Class War brig, Imperial Class War brig, Inferno Class War brig, Smuggler Class Sloop, Ancient Class Sloop, Phantom Class Sloop, 4 Sloops 500 rum, 500 small cannon balls and 500 medium cannon balls *3rd place Harvest Class Cutter, Lagoon Class Sloop, Tiburon Class Sloop, Frost Class Sloop, 3 Sloops, 250 rum and 300 small cannon balls *4th place Gunpowder Class Sloop, Frost Class Sloop, 2 Sloops 200 rum and 200 small cannon balls *5th place Frost Class Sloop, 2 Sloops 100 rum and 150 small cannon balls *6th & 7th place 1 Sloop 50 rum and 130 small cannon balls Notes: *We will be checking the number of battles everyday by looking at crew battle records on the rank page. *Any officer who runs a pillage during that week will contribute to the crew's overall battle count. *It does not have to be your vessel or your pillage, so long as it's a vessel in your crew that is winning the battles. *Vessel size doesn't matter and there are no bonus points for pillages on larger vessels. *There will be no penalty for battles lost, only the battles won count for this event. *If you borrow someone else's ship, please make sure to restock! *If you prefer that your ships are not borrowed, make sure to keep them locked. *Any prizes the registered crew may have won will be delivered to the designated event contact. The event contact needs to be a member of the crew and be noted in the crew statement. * If no event contact is given, prizes will go to the officer who registered the crew. If more than one officer signed his crew up for the event and no event contact is given, prizes will go to the captain of the crew. *PvP battles do not count for this event. *Make sure you port and divide booty every now and then! There won't be any problems regarding this event or battle records, but if your pillage turns into a marathon with lots and lots of battles, the booty division might not credit everyone appropriately. Time to pillage! Here are some details relevant for the actual time frame in which your crew's battles will be recorded for the event:

2 weeks is a very long time for this event. Stevensam's "Just Pillage" events had 9 days each and the last days were hard, already, but perhaps it's different during the holidays. Are there seperate prizes on each ocean, for example would the top crew on each ocean recieve a furnished crew hall, or would it be the highest off all three oceans? |

The length was a consideration but the hope was that with so much time it will allow entrants to approach the event with a bit of strategy (and hopefully not knacker themselves going full burn the entire fortnight!)
As this is primarily a crew focused event the prize is at the crew level as well. That means no replacement for a Flag Hall, sorry.
Separate prizes on each Ocean, aye... and just to clarify further, each prize is redeemable only on the Ocean that the crew won the prize on.
Public or Private, whatever your crew is most comfortable with. -Pro |

Yup - you can have as many crew halls as there are islands with pirate halls to put them in. Ahem. What if you have crew halls on all the available islands already? This is correct - the only limitation is that one cannot have more than one on the same island.
There are no substitutions for prizes. If the winning crew already has the maximum amount of crew halls and doesn't fancy an upgrade to any of them (or is already maxed out on Grandiose Crew Halls) we will still offer the Ocean Master Decoration Make Over Spectacular® at one of the existing Halls. If neither the Hall or the Ocean Master Makeover is desired then I would advise the participating crew to aim for second place ;) -Pro |

This question gets asked with every running of this event. A couple of dedicated pirates can do a whole lot more work than a huge, lazy crew. Event threads have been posted! Please take a moment to confirm your crew's registration. There were a number of crews I was unable to register due to registration errors, mainly wrong crew names given or the registering pirate no longer belonging to the registered crew. If you were not registered due to those errors you may correct them by 11:59PM TONIGHT (Dec. 16th) by EDITING your initial registration and posting a REPLY in THIS (or your individual ocean's) THREAD that you have done so. Failure to edit your initial registration and post in this thread to acknowledge you have done will sadly result in a disqualification.
Changing the Event Contact: You are allowed to change your crew's event contact until the end of the event time frame. Event contacts (as per the checks at the start of the event) have been added to each ocean's list of participating crews. We will double check all winners and contacts again before awarding prizes and you may update the event contact until the end of the event time frame. Please do post in your ocean's event thread and update the crew statement if such a change occurs. The updated contact needs to be noted in the crew statement, just posting won't count. Goes without saying that the new event contact must be an active member of the crew. In the event of a network server crash, outside of player control, inevitably costing myself and Squishats of Cubelets (Emerald Ocean) what I believe to be a clear victory. I'm truly sorry but I'm afraid no manual adjustments can be made to the tally. Only battles won and recorded on a crew's overall battle stats will be counted and considered. -Pro |

And thus ends over a fortnight of pillaging madness! A hearty congratulations to all crews who entered for a strong showing overall and a special thanks to Stevensam for the original format. The final tallies are up in the individual ocean threads, pending a final check. I will take the next few days to just manually reconfirm the results at which point I will distribute the prizes (and thankfully no, you don't need to be online to receive them). For first place winners - after the results are confirmed I will be in touch with the individual event contacts to work out details for the delivery of the crew hall.
