Savvy Hat Thread Reply to this Post

I'm thinking about claiming my inheritance, and was disappointed by what I found in the Backsword Thread. Here's information about the other option, the Savvy Hat.

You can try out the hats on an alt, and even delete them and try again, as we get to claim our inheritance once on each character.

six_of_one made thse shots of the male Savvy hat in action. The female hat looks the same as far as I can tell.

And these female pictures need no attribution.

Here are the available color options. I can't figure out what some of them are.
Red Hat, White Bandana
Tan Hat, Maroon Bandana
Brown Hat, White Bandana
Brown Hat, Grey Bandana
Grey Hat, Yellow Bandana
Grey Hat, Pink Bandana
Tan Hat, Violet Bandana
Navy Hat, Tan? Bandana
Blue Hat, White Bandana
Tan Hat, Aqua Bandana
Brown Hat, Lime Bandana
Green Hat, Tan? Bandana
Brown Hat, Orange Bandana
Maroon Hat, Grey Bandana
Brown Hat, Red Bandana

Personally I think it would be cool if box purchasers could order more of these swords / hats in other colors for a character. They'd still be immortal and non-tradeable.

Agreed. Saw one in a duty report for the first time. My initial reaction was, "What's wrong with his hat!?"

I want Pink. *cries*

I don't understand why we can't select from a full list of colors, except black, gold, and maybe purple. I mean, we paid $20 for the box, it'd be nice to at least have a full palette of colors.

It's untradeable, untakeable by skellies and I think it doesn't decay. Go buy a retail box.

The style of the hat is growing on me. At first I couldn't figure out what it reminded me of... but now I chuckle every time i see it, because i always think: How in the world did that pirate get his underpants on his head? Oh wait! That's the savvy hat!

[size=9]Edit: I don't mean that in a mean way at all... I think it's a fun hat now that I made the underpants revelation, since it looks like the pirate had a REALLY good night out!

I get and like the reference, but..I don't like the hat.

It looks almost nothing like the hat Jack Sparrow wore. To me the only real similarities is that it's both a hat and a bandana. Besides, if memory serves, Sparrow wore a tricorne on top of a bandana.

Edit - upon refreshing my memory and google image searching Jack Sparrow - it is indeed similar. However, it still has some differences, and further it's turned the wrong way!

So I suppose there's no way to re-claim your inheritance on a pirate account w/o deleting the pirate first? Gah, I knew I should have chosen blue/white instead of red/white. :(

I am kind of ticked, I ordered the box for twenty dollars and I dont even get to choose the color of the backsword or Savvy hat, It would have been nice to know before I bought it, After all I really wanted a green and grey bandana and I have green and brown.

Errr..I have to post this anger somewhere.

The little pink bandana rocks, the whole thing goes great with my black. Or my pink. Plus people make fun of you for it, so that always adds to my enjoyment. It is one of my favorite hats, and the only one that will always be there.

PLEASE add more hat/bandana colour combos. I will not wear any of the ones that are there as they simply don't match (yes, I like to be colour co-ordinated!) any of me outfits, boats and what not I have amassed and I'm not going to change just to match the special hat!

Having purchased the box this was kind of a dissapointment. It's also the only constantly visible item to show hey, I shelled out money for the box - you think that the designers would want to see lots of people wearing them which would in turn garner more CD purchases.

Please make all combos possible with the exception of anything using gold or black and help add a few more savvy hat wearers to the ocean.
