Good evening, lads and lasses, and welcome to this edition of 20/0. I'm Bluetta Walters, and tonight we have a very special interview going on! Captain Cleaver himself is here to talk to us and answer questions about his creation, Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates. So, let's begin!

....

Captain Cleaver?

Ahoy?

What?! Whaddya mean he can't come tonight!? He's agreed to it! We have his signature... here! Ah phooey, this paper is drowned in salt water! The signature has rubbed off! Well... he better be ready to reschedule! Oh, he already has? Sends his condolences, aye? Right. Well, I suppose we won't plank him from the show.. yet. But, we will make him sing!

What: An event that Captain Cleaver has agreed to, involving half an hour of his time on ventrilo, a voice chat program, for a question and answer session and a little bit o' singing.

When: Tuesday, May 24th, 2005 at 6pm PST

Who: The ventrilo server has 25 slots open. Captain Cleaver was bought at an auction, and 20 slots are filled by the following contributing mates:

Bluetta
Randal
Stevedave
Dolphine and Guest
Dora and Guest
Dmentia and Guest
Rubby and Guest
Cynestria and Guest
Annesatsu and Guest
Llama and Guest
Caspian and Guest
... and Cleaver, o' course!

That leaves FIVE tickets to give away. The tickets will be given away in three different events:

The Amazing Race: Midnight Ocean (2 tickets)
Physical Manifestations of Cleaver's World contest(2 tickets)
Raffle (1 ticket)

Information on these three events are posted in separate threads.

Some basic knowledge on ventrilo: Tis a lovely program, no spyware or adware or junk like that. Unfortunately the client is not supported by Macintosh or Linux, so this will have to be limited to Windows mates! The winners o' the tickets will get instructions from me on how to download the program, and also on the rules of the event. This is still a while away, so post any questions you have here!

Signing off, we'll see you on May 24th... this is Bluetta Walters and 20/0.

Good night!

Bad command or file name.

Anyway, let's stop with the derailing before Bluetta clobbers me...

Drat, here I was thinking I'd try to enter, but then you have to go and use a program not compatable with anythign other than Windows. There are alternatves that will work on multiple platforms, like Skype.

Skype would be lovely indeed, if it would fit more than five people into a channel. And teamspeak is the worst voice quality program I've ever heard.

Regardless, the ventrilo channel I have is paid for by me and has been for about 7 months now, has the space, and already is frequented by the people who purchased said Captain.

I know it stinks for Mac and Linux users, I wish ventrilo would hurry up and make those supported clients!

I am amazed when people somehow come up with totally new types of events and prizes, years into the game.

Aye, genius idea for an event.

Is there any chance it could be recorded, and released say a week after the event? I could prolly host the file if you want...

I don't think that takes away from the competition at all.

In case Cleaver does permit it to be recorded, I believe that some of the regular users of ventrilo has the software to record it with.
And no, not casetterecorders :).

I'd just like to say, this rules. I'm glad this isn't being auctioned off, as I would almost certainly be pushed out of this contest. As hom said before, I too am amazed that this far into the game, people can still come up with original and brilliant ideas.

Sounds like fun.

I am always the last to know.

I am going to be a guest of someone
who did not win a chance to attend unless
someone takes pity on one of the
(forgot what Cleaver called me something like
original elites.....yeah that must be it).

I am sure you will have an awesome time.

Aw come on, it has the same codecs and data rates as ventrilo
and can host an unlimited amount of users, on any given clan server.

Perhaps you should ask Cleaver to setup one of each server, and give them both a testing.

Im not saying one is better than the other... that i leave to you. I'm just saying that in this case, TeamSpeak would be a better option IMHO.

But he said he didn't have an i-Pod

I'd like to give him a big-up for staying for 2 hours instead of the 1/2 hour that was promised. He even bought a headset just so he could talk to us.
