Un-recolor-able familiar colors? Reply to this Post
Reply with Quote

Per a recent conversation on /greeter chat, one mate said he had familiars with chocolate and banana colors and these could not be recolored. So for the purposes of updating YPPedia, is it safe to assume that familiars in special colors cannot be changed?

There already should be no familiars of recolorable types in Atlantean, Indigo or Night Blue... has there ever been a Sea Green familiar?

No, to date there has not been a sea green familiar (unless you count OM magic to show-off).

Sure, that's a pretty safe assumption. Considering it's there already.

Tan familiars, white monkey, octopus, and parrot familiars, ippolitos and serpents cannot be recolored at all. Parrots are considered tan if either of their colors is tan; the non-tan color cannot be changed. None of the special colors are valid familiar recoloring options.

That's been there a looong time. It may need a slight re-word, though, because depending on emphasis when read, it makes it sound like it's only white ippolitos and serpents that can't be recoloured. Maybe a list rather than a sentence. And it needs to be made a bit clearer that they can't be changed from special colours as well as to.
