And it makes sense once you realize it's made by Three Rings, the same folks behind the wildly popular Puzzle Pirates.

Besides, if other Three Rings games do well, people are more likely to notice and visit Puzzle Pirates at some point. So attention for the new game isn't automatically bad for the old. Be glad it's a hit instead of a dud. :)

That's relative to the 8 goddamn years the game has been in existence. I can't think of many other games (WoW, maybe EQ2?) that have enjoyed that sort of longevity. Regardless of how slow it is these days, Puzzlepirates HAS been wildly popular, particularly from an indie developer with no prior releases.

oh you're from malachite. Heh.

That's a good point, I was thinking more in terms of player numbers, instead of longevity. Still though, I don't know if I would call it 'wildly popular'. A great game, definitely. A cult classic, for sure.

Also a good point. They don't let us out of our baby playpens. ): I think it's just a myth that there's ever more than 8 people on one ocean at the same time.
