So flipping through the local news paper and found and intresting statement:

The headline : Pirate party joins political fray

OTTAWA — Yar! There be a new party on the high seas of Canadian politics.

The Pirate Party of Canada can now run buccaneers in the next federal election.

Canada’s chief electoral officer, Marc Mayrand, granted the Pirates official party status on April 12.

It has nothing to do with pirates. This is a known party across the world starting in Sweden where they gained their first seat in the past election.

I definitely hope I have a rep in my area in the next election because I support everything that they are trying to accomplish.

This "Pirate Party" from Sweden is in fact a political party supporting free downloading and human integrity. The more you know ^_^
