Pennsuedo At Gaea, as one of the old superpowers, He bashed for a day, and he fought for four hours Alpha tester muse: Pennsuedo Event host: Muroni Date:Nov. 8th. First event at 12:01 AM game time. Second event at 12:01 PM game time. Description: A flash writing event! In memory of the very first in-game war (see here!), this micro-writing event challenges you to some speedy writing in "Four-Minute Writing"! That's right - four minutes. At pre-announced times, an entry thread link and a specific theme will be provided, and it is your task to be ready for it, see the theme, and write. With so little time for your entry, make sure you post in time! The thread will be locked at the end of the four minutes, so if you snooze, you lose! Date and specific times will be posted later, by Muroni. Rules: One entry per person. (not that I can imagine anyone trying to do more....) You may follow any style of writing, prose or poetry. You will be judged on adherence to theme as well as writing quality. You may edit posts within the four minutes. Entry post should include: * Pirate name * Ocean * Your entry If you forget to add your pirate name and ocean to your post in the rush, please remember to update your signature to include that information! Prizes: prizes will include trinkets and furniture, and numbers will depend on participation! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 4 times, last edit by Apollo at Oct 30, 2009 4:05:03 AM] |

I'll have an OM edit the date and time into the initial post later but wanted to give a heads up now. This event involves 2 separate writing competitions. In each you will have only 4 minutes to complete your entry and post it. In order to avoid folks having additional time to think upon it, each of these will have a separate theme to adhere to which will be posted here when the event goes live. The date will be Nov. 8th. First event at 12:01 AM game time. Second event at 12:01 PM game time. ---------------------------------------- EdmundSpenser-In vain he seeketh others to suppress, Who hath not learn'd himself first to subdue Nietzsche-The growth of wisdom may be gauged exactly by the diminution of ill-temper AlfredAdler-We interpret a bad temper as a sign of inferiority ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Apollo at Oct 30, 2009 4:03:41 AM] |

I think they edited those times :-) ---------------------------------------- > normal practice: the release was made to production after too little time on ICE. > "This happened a few years ago and is a remarkably high profile precedent so please just ignore it!" >instead of unbanning, put RD in charge o |

"You sunk my battleship!" "Stop calling it a battleship, you idiot." "Well why'd you take it into Atlantis anyway? It was all painted and shiny and wot." "I wanted to impress the Bellators." "Impress them with all those "RAMMING SPEED" shouts?" "I thought you didn't want me wasting your stock." "You're an idiot." "No u." /declarewar Wildturkey, Malachite |

Budclare, Mala Ducks. You wouldn't think ducks could start a war, but you'd be dead wrong. The ducks were hackers, see. They stole the accounts of several monarchs and started their insidious war before the OMs could step in and return the accounts to their rightful owners. Ducks are MEAN. ---------------------------------------- Budclare on Midnight I want a cookie. |

Thread unlocked until then so there are no delays for me posting, but round 1 is definitely closed now. ---------------------------------------- EdmundSpenser-In vain he seeketh others to suppress, Who hath not learn'd himself first to subdue Nietzsche-The growth of wisdom may be gauged exactly by the diminution of ill-temper AlfredAdler-We interpret a bad temper as a sign of inferiority |

Spyagent, Viridian It was the perfect day for pillaging. We were going along our merry little way, had won 5 battles; even had some KB aboard. When i see a war declaration pop up. "What is going on?" I asked I was a new pirate and did not understand the concept of war at all. My captain responded, "The very first war has begun!" I was in a total rush to get to port, this ship was my beauty I had put so much in to her. Then we were intercepted! I kindly asked the OIC of the other ship to disengage. But oh no, that is just to much to ask. We did everything we could to run from them, but i was undermanned and ran out of moves. Eventually, they rock trapped us and we were sunk. That was the day i expierenced the horrific pain of my beautiful ship sinking. ---------------------------------------- Spyagent of Viridian Captain of Looting Pirates Lord of Sea Change ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spyagent on Ice King of Killer Instinct |

The naver had it all figured out, we were trying to perform our duties as best as possible, sweating and cursing and drinking rum; the occasional jok. All seemed to be in our favour. Gunning went speedy, we thought we were about to sink them. A yay or two could already bee heard. Suddenly, a bunch of metal ghosts sprang onto us all, threw us overboard and a huge metal monster from the bowels of hell threw our ship right into the sea bottom. |

Everything was going just peachy until some shrapnel hit my buddy pete. He was fading fast and I never told him how much he meant to me. Just as I was about to say the words, "I love y . . ." a cannon whizzed by - nearly tore my ear off. It was too late then. I never got to tell pete that he was such a loyal dog. sabrinastory, hunter |
