It's time to dust off yer pumpkins, rattle up some bones, and clean off yer cobwebs...or just leave 'em there for atmosphere. We want to see what's lurking in yer catacombs or if your ship makes El Pollo Diablo's skeleton crew jealous. That's right boys and ghouls, it's a Halloween decorating contest! Rules: -Decorate your in-game house, yard, shoppe, stall, or ship for the upcoming Halloween holiday -Take a screenshot of your space with your pirate in it -If you've decorated a ship, look for the "At Sea" Entry thread. -If you've decorated any other space, look for the "On Land" Entry thread. -Post a link to your screenshot by 11:59:59 PM (PT) November 8th in the proper Entry Thread along with: your pirate's name, your pirate's ocean, and the name of the space or ship (e.g. Spookypirate's Shack on Sakejima) -One entry per category per pirate, please. Other things you may want to know: -More than one pirate can be in the screenshot -You can stitch together multiple screenshots to show the complete space. -You can edit your entry up until the deadline -There is an extra-large pillowcase filled with all sorts of deliciously appropriate prizes for the top decorators in each category. Aw, that's a bit sad for pplz who can't afford as much furniture in-game as other pplz... Are you sure you couldn't bend the rules ever so slightly to allow "realistically placed" furniture arrangements done using Yohoho Tools (eg. no extra walls or furniture items that we can't obtain in-game, but normal furniture placed as it would be placed in game)? /me hopes (sorry for whining) lol ---------------------------------------- Adrielle of Viridian. This sounds like a fun event. Anyway, if I was to decorate a cabin for example, would I need to decorate both the rooms and provide a screenshot for each or could I just decorate one of the rooms instead. ---------------------------------------- Guppyzra of the Hunter Ocean Don't forget her... Does the room/ship we decorate have to be on our main ocean? (to clarify: I have expendable poe on Malachite, but I consider my main ocean Midnight. Do we have to leave our scenes up so they can be walked around? I remember previous competitions where this was a rule (impacts borrowing of items or whether you can move them between room and ship for two entries). Include text bubbles from people in the scene or would you like us to focus only on the furniture aspect? Edit: I have a suggestion, since this runs to November 8th (and we need it the way furnisher's are backed up or out of chalcocite) would it be possible to suggest changing the time when the seasonal skeleton ship furniture leaves the game to coincide with this event instead of end of October as the notice board says? I have mine safely ordered and due to ocme out in 2 days time but this might give others a chance. ---------------------------------------- Ryanne, Midnight. As Apollo pointed out, needing to include the location of the space + your pirate in the screenshot does mean that you won't be able to use the Yohoho! Tools Scene Editor for this contest. I'm okay if you want to decorate a space on a different ocean than your main, just please make sure to include the ocean name for both in your entry. You don't have to leave your scene up, but I'd love it if you did so I could come visit. If you decide to include text bubbles, they should contribute to the scene somehow. As for changing the time at which the furniture is no longer available to order, I don't know that it's a possibility, so the safer bet would be to get things together sooner rather than later. ---------------------------------------- Death by Podgekins. |

My pirate is in the screenie but wearing a mask, so her name doesn't show. I have the outfit and the ship if you need to verify that this is me :).
