TD bugs on Ice Reply to this Post

When you play 6 or 10 slots TD, the board isn't *normal*: the disposition of all "stuff that lay below coins when u throw'em"(dunno the english word, not even in my native tongue) doesn't look very stable, it's as if it was a bad collage image.

Thanks for your attention, and let's c if you can bother fixing it pl0x? ^_^

The TD with more/less holes is an ice only feature. The artwork has been odd forever and will likely remain that way since the feature will never move to production oceans.

When they made the 6 and 10 slot treasure drop options on ice, we were told that it would look off, and that since it's not something they are ever going to release to the production oceans, it's not something they are going to put time into to make it look right. It's a nice and fun option we get to have on ice, and we'll just have to live with it looking odd.

6 and 10 slot TD are really fun games, that are not at all like 8 slot.

10 slots completely eliminate "parity" as an issue. How you play on this board is very different.

6 slots ... is just vicious Fun, but I think the luck of starting lever positions is stronger.

Why won't they ever release 6 and 10 to the oceans?

I'd be surprised if you could get to -100 without massive collusion.

Even then, that's not enough points to win.

A big problem with the six-slot TD game is that the winner is pretty much determined by the initial board; how well you play has little bearing on the outcome. I've seen really good players say "good game" before the first coin is dropped because they know who will win just from looking at the board. So that variant is too flawed to be worth any initial developer or artist investment.

Ten slot is more interesting, though I haven't played it enough to say whether or not it has any egregious game design flaws the way 6-slot does.

Before the first drop? Really?

I need to play that to see it myself.

Naturally, holes make all the difference.
