Tournaments for Real-Life Y!PP Prizes! (13-14 June 2009)

12 tournaments - 3 of each puzzle, 2 on each ocean

The top prize in each tournament will be a trinket that entitles the winner to a real-life Y!PP prize.

Saturday 13th June at 6am game time
Midnight: Rumble, byo
Cobalt: Swordfighting, byo
Viridian: Drinking, byo, 5/1500
Sage: Treasure drop, turbo, holes, best 2 of 3
Hunter: Swordfighting, random cutlass
Malachite: Rumble, boxing, no bludgeons

Sunday 14th June at 4pm game time
Midnight: Treasure drop, 30s
Cobalt: Drinking, no mugs, 6/1500
Viridian: Treasure drop, turbo, 4th rnd halved, best 2 of 3
Sage: Swordfighting, byo, best 2 of 3
Hunter: Rumble, fish, best 2 of 3
Malachite: Drinking, classic, 4 colors

Real-life Y!PP prize choices

Other notes:

Real-life prize may only be claimed by the pirate who won the tournament (who will be named on the trinket's inscription)
Real-life prize must be claimed by the end of the month. After that, you just get to keep the trinket, and forfeit any claim to a real-life prize.
There is no in-game prize substitution if you do not want the real-life prize. You may want to skip the tournament if you're not interested in the prize!
Each ocean only has two tournaments - we are expecting people to use other oceans to find their favorite puzzle. As the main prize is a real-life prize rather than an in-game prize, please don't give anyone a hard time about this!

I've won a real-life prize trinket! How do I claim?

Keep the winning trinket on your person (i.e. don't trade it away or put it in a display case)
From the pirate you won the trinket with send in a petition (go to Ye, then Help, then Petition)
Use "Real-life tournament prize" as your petition subject
In the body of the petition, please include your real name, your full mailing address, and your choice of real-life Y!PP item from the list above.
The on-duty OceanMaster will then check your information is complete, remove your winning trinket, and replace it with another trinket as an in-game memento of your win. Please be patient, and leave the petition open if this is not done immediately.
Your name and mailing information is passed onto the Three Rings Office, who will mail your prize to you as soon as they are able.

Perhaps change those May dates to June dates.

Umm, instead you should check the rules again:

Each ocean only has two tournaments - we are expecting people to use other oceans to find their favorite puzzle. As the main prize is a real-life prize rather than an in-game prize, please don't give anyone a hard time about this!

If you are concerned about not having a mug, either buy one or go to one of the tournaments that doesn't require one. And to top it off, Sunday is a drinking free day, so you wouldn't need a sub or badge.
