Ahoy everyone, Stevensam here. As school winds down, I am busy with my finals and cannot run any serious events right now, but, I wanted to give someone else the opprotunity! Here's where you, the hopeful event runner, comes in! How to enter: Post your entry here. The entry will need to include the following: - Who your main pirate is and what ocean you play on more than any other. - Why you think you'd be good at running an event. - How often you read/check the forums. - How much time would you be willing to put into running/judging a creative event. - No more than 1500 words. - How much attention you pay to detail Deadline: Deadline for entering this event is June 18, 2009 at 11:59:59 PM pirate time. Prizes: - The first place prize is 100,000 PoE and the fun task of running an event created by me! After you have run that event, you will recieve a bonus depending on how well you ran it, so make sure you're ready for hosting an event. - Second place will win 50,000 PoE - Third place will win 30,000 PoE - Fourth place will win 15,000 PoE Judging: Stevensam will be the only judge, so please, consider how long judging could possibly take. I will be judging, among other things, on the following: - Grammar and spelling - Depth of answers - How willing I'd be to enter an event ran by you based on your entry Note - I will not be judging these based on how long your entry is, but please make sure you answer each required point well. Question: What is the event that the winner will be running? Answer: The event is one that I can't disclose a lot about, but the important things are: it will be on the forums only, with prizes to be delivered in-game, no poe is required behalf of the event runner, it will be supplied by me. it will require the event runner to read quite a bit, it will require a creative mind to make the event the best it can be! ---------------------------------------- Stevensam -Cobalt Native, founder and host of The PoE is Right. Great idea! I have to say, I've always been fascinated by the idea of running an event. Due to this fascination, I've spent a long time reading other people's events (usually writing contests) and getting ideas. Although, due to my natural affinity for wasting PoE in other areas, I've never had the chance to run one of my own. Why do I think I'd be good at running an event? Well, I'll admit, without sounding too arrogant or egotistical, it might be hard to answer that question. However, I do feel that my fascination with events thus far would be a good factor in event running. The more heart put into it, the better. Another trait that might make me a good candidate is my rather egotistical nature that I am attempting to hide while writing this. In my opinion, an event runner with a healthy ego is more likely to run things better than a modest event runner due to the fact that they are likely to be more critical in areas requiring such. As summer is approaching, I would be willing to put as much time as needed to both running and judging this event. It might help to ease the slight boredom I experience during the beginning of my summer vacation. To wrap it all up, my pirate name is Jamesmc and I mainly play the Cobalt Ocean. ---------------------------------------- "I'm Jamesmc of the Cobalt Ocean and I approve this message."

This is a great idea for an event! I'd been kickin' around the concept of an event for event runnin' myself, and I like your take on it. Here's me application. :) My main pirate, and in fact my only pirate, is Shanglan on Cobalt. I've been playin' Puuzzle Pirates for over three years now, so the single character don't mean that I'm green. I'm just a one-character sort o' person. As for why I think I'm a good choice to run your event, I'm an organized and careful sort o' person as well as one who likes to have fun. I have a background in English, as well, which seems to fit yer plan o' an event that takes a good bit o' readin'. That'd be right up my ally. I've also already run two creative events pretty successfully. The first one ye can find at this link: http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=96263. It was a writing contest that drew 16 story entries of up to 1500 words each, and I had the stories judged and the results posted the afternoon after the contest closed. I did this by reviewing entries as they came in and assigning them numerical scores, which left very little work to be done at the end. It's important to me that an event run smoothly and give people their results quickly, and with a little care in planning I made that happen. Me second event was very similar to the first. It garnered a much smaller field o' entries, though - only two - which I chalk up to me bein' short o' cash and offerin' smaller prizes and the event not bein' picked up by the Ringers team for the in-game events board, which the first one was. That's taught me that there's a bottom threshold o' prize value for which people will compete and that I need to advertise events all I can in pubs, ship loads, and crew chats. Those are useful lessons I can bring to your event. The other important thing that I think those contests demonstrate is that I'm dedicated to everyone havin' fun. The nature o' the events encouraged diverse responses full o' creativity and good humor, which was just what I was lookin' for. I did me best to create contests that people would enjoy enterin' just for the fun o' enterin', and I think I succeeded. It's a happy thing when ye can get somone really excited about winnin' a trunk full of dead fish. As for the forums, I read 'em usually once every day or two, depending on whether I'm involved in an event. When I'm running an event, I try to check in at least once a day so that I can answer any questions promptly and keep an eye on how the submissions are developing. Time-wise, I'm willin' to put a good bit o' time and effort into runnin' a creative event, because I enjoy them and I love the way the forums give people with all sort o' talents a chance to shine. I also love givin' out presents! I would estimate that I spent about 20 hours of time, all told, on my first event, but I'd be willing to spend more than that for a good, interesting competition. On the topic o' detail, I give it a great deal o' attention. As ye can see from my previous contest, I try to be as precise and detailed as possible in any event announcement in order to head off possible areas of confusion. Detail is important to me in judgin' contest entries, as well; in both o' the writing events I have run, I made sure to include attention to mechanics in the criteria for a winnin' entry, as I believe that sort o' care and attention speaks of an artist's respect for his or her own work. I try to show the same care and attention in my position as an event runner. In closin', I'd be delighted to run yer event, as I enjoy runnin' 'em and I'm itchin' to see what this idea is that ye've got for the contest. It'd be nice, too, to be able to offer people more for prizes than me own modest bankroll can supply, as I think that higher prizes do bring out some o' the best work. To be honest, it sounds like such fun that I'd help ye run it for free, but the 100K would be an awfully nice bonus. :) Shanglan |

Hey, Steven. I'm me. Why I'd be good at hosting an event? Well, Apollo trusts me enough to help him and Panzy run the OCL Sea Battle Season 7, and I sure as hell make sure everyone has a good time! (http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=125562&offset=0) I've had a great 4 years on Puzzle Pirates and have had a total of five pirates. I'm responsible, assured, confident and experienced, and know I can do it. I've often considered running another event. I've ran a bake-off, celebrated my 100th post with an event, and often contributed to other people's events... but despite it all, I rarely ever have over a few thousand in the coffers. The most I've ever had is not even half the top prize in this event! Since I recently started to truly discover the forums, I've been going on several times a day, just to join in with the community that's as alive here as it is ingame. I've got quite a bit of free time in my life that I could and would readily dedicate to the event. Your question was how often do you check the forums? I wasn't exaggerating when I said 'several times a day'. So, stevensam, I'd really like to help you help me help you. Trust in an OM's decision, trust the experience and trust my capital motivation. I would not - imperative tense - WOULD NOT let ya down! - Name_Unknown (Unknownname, a pure player on the Cobalt Ocean.) ---------------------------------------- Evilduck

I'm Aethera, I play almost exclusively on Cobalt, and I'd love to run a forum-based event for you. There are several reasons why I believe I'd be well suited to run your event. First, though my time in-game is limited these days, I'm on the forums a dozen times a day - more if a particular thread has my attention. Over the summer work slows down and my available time increases; I also don't have any trips planned, so I shouldn't be out of touch at all. I'm perfectly willing to camp on an event thread and answer any questions participants may have. It will be no problem keeping up with a lot of new posts, since I'm a regular Rogue OM squad player and am used to checking a thread every 3 hours and finding 4 pages to read. I'm not going to be joining the summer ROMS game, so most of my forum time can be easily devoted to your event. I have plenty of experience with writing events on the forums, having judged about a dozen over the last few years. The events I've judged include the Author's Author Deathmatch, The Scene is Set and Insert Name Here 2. Many of the events I've judged have involved longer-form writing (2000 words, as opposed to 300) and the familiar events especially tend to have a lot of entries to wade through. (I won't get started on the insanity that was judging 15,000-40,000 word novellas for PTG.) I've learned over the years that while creative writing is a bit of a struggle for me, I really enjoy reading the creative works of others, so judging is more fun for me than entering events. I pay close attention to the event threads when I judge, so I can learn from the event-runners. I've also tried to figure out what questions can be anticipated in most writing events, so I can address them when I am in a position to run one. I've actually been trying to come up with a writing event worth doing now that the most recent Rogue OM Squad game is over. Since I have so much fun judging, running an event start to finish seems like an exciting challenge. I don't know how much of the event you've put together already, but I'm happy to fill in the blanks and come up with a judging rubric or any criteria that still need to be provided for the entrants. I have great attention to detail and do a fair amount of editing for friends and family, so I'll have no problem judging whether stories meet the event criteria. I'm also a stickler for correct spelling and good grammar, but I try hard not to let those criteria get in the way of enjoying entries. If an entry is unreadable, that's a problem, but if someone uses the wrong 'your' one time, their story is not going to get docked the full spelling/grammar score. The organizers of the events I mentioned above can tell you that my judging results are returned on-time and in good order, and I'd expect the same of the judges for this event. I'm a Project Manager in real life, so I'm used to keeping things running on a schedule, and I have no trouble being firm, which I find useful in forum events, when you sometimes have to handle fights in the event thread or other distractions. Finally, I have a lot of experience working with children, which I see as an asset here: I know how to make things fun, and I know how to run a game so that everyone, not just the winners, can be happy at the end. Overall, I think event running is something I'd excel at, and I'd love to start with an event designed by a veteran! This has gotten longer than I anticipated, so I'll stop here with 1 note: if you select someone else to run your event, I hope that person will consider me to judge it. If I can't run it, I'd at least love to help. ---------------------------------------- Aethera of Cobalt SO of Axis Analemma Princess of Smuggler's Pearl Avatar by Tilinka |

My main pirate is Pizzahutpete, and I play primarily on Cobalt. My skill at running events of various types has been tested by numerous organizations of which I am or have been a member over the years. I highlight three of those here: As an officer in a medieval re-enactment club, I have been in charge of hosting literally hundreds of events ranging from simple gatherings of local members for social interaction to the planning, set up, management (finances and personnel), and actual running of complex weekend events involving demonstrations of martial skill, artistic endeavors, and food service. Each of these events required me to research both the subject matter relevant to the theme of the event and local laws and site rules under which the event must take place. Each also required me to provide a "post mortem" accounting and narrative summarizing the activities. As an organizer and a judge of arts and sciences (A&S) competitions, I have the experience and ability to fairly judge intent, research, finished product, and adherence to established criteria in a number of A&S categories. As a one-time small business owner for a home brewing hobby store, I founded a related 501(c) organization for the purpose of sharing brewing tricks and techniques. This club was associated with a national organization devoted to the brewing hobby, and members participated in brewing competitions at the local and regional level for the purpose of winning the right to compete nationally. I personally organized and ran two local competitions involving national-level judges evaluating products from more than two dozen competitors. During the competition, I was responsible for securing the site, setting up the judging tables, ensuring that the required equipment and forms were readily available, receiving and categorizing the entries, and collating the results of each judging cycle. The competitions were not complete until all results were published, and a detailed report sent to the national organization for proper recording and recognition. As a career officer in the US Air Force, I spent the greater part of my employed life researching and evaluating information for the purpose of drafting position papers and decision briefs for more senior officers and members of the Office of the Secretary of Defense. In my later years, I myself was a senior officer called upon to evaluate those papers and briefs by others and to make decisions on the basis of that evaluation. The skill with which I produced these documents and the effectiveness of my evaluation of them is documented in the numerous awards I received throughout my tenure. In addition, for five successive years I was a primary organizer for an international symposium involving presentations and practical demonstrations of new equipment and procedures, followed by interactive discussions and social activities involving members of ten allied nations. Throughout these symposia, my ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds was tested and proven. I read the forums approximately an hour a day, 5 to 7 days each week, excepting the two times a year when I am "in the field" with the military as part of my current job and 5 days in August when I am camping with my family. I am willing and able to devote 2 to 3 hours a day (being in the evenings in the Eastern time zone) to the running and judging of an event. Attention to detail was not only a requirement in many of my military postings, but an imperative in my last assignment. As a division chief in the Pentagon, oral and written products from my staff were presented to senior DoD officials often for the purpose of determining policy. A lack of attention to detail in such cases is not only noticed, but exploited by detractors as evidence of the fallibility of the conclusions presented. I am proud to say that in just under four years in that assignment, I had only one policy brief rejected for lack of relevant detail. ---------------------------------------- Pizzahutpete on the Cobalt Ocean Monarch, Super Awesomeness SO, Boochin' Drunks Hblovejoy on Midnight |

Hi! I am Adrielle, and my main ocean of play is Viridian =). I think I would be good at running an event because I am creative, dedicated, and addicted to everything Puzzle Pirates. Although I do not have extensive experience in running events, I have recently started running small events in the Viridian Events section of the forums. These small events include Recreate My Holiday Snaps!!!, and Viridian's A4 Creativity Challenge (which I am currently co-running with Lcawte). I would love to keep running events, especially creative writing and arts events - because running these is fun! =D In terms of the amount of time I would be able to spend running an event, I am Adrielle =) ---------------------------------------- Adrielle of Viridian. Main Pirate: Missvmk on the Cobalt Ocean. Why would I be good at running an event? I'm a very organized person. I also enjoy watching other events being hosted, even if I'm not participating. I read often, so if the event involves lots of reading, it's good for me. How often do I read/check the forums? Every day. I like knowing what events have started/ended. I also enjoy looking at threads that just catch my eye. How much attention do I pay to detail? I pay an extreme amount of attention to detail. If any little thing is wrong, I try to fix it as much as I can. For example, if there is a tiny pencil mark out of place on my paper, I need to get rid of it. I'm a perfectionist. (Also, I feel the need to fix posts that have incorrect spelling and grammar.) How much time would I be willing to devote to the event? About 2 hours each day. Now that the summer is starting, that would be 9:00 AM-11:00 AM Eastern (6:00 AM-8:00 AM Pirate Time.) This excludes one day I have an appointment, and the week I'm going on vacation. |

Main Pirate: Demonfire Ocean: Cobalt I believe I would be good at running an event because I possess the skills needed to make sure an event runs smoothly. I have experience participating in events, and know the extensive amount of work that goes into making them possible. I read/check the forums 4 or 5 times daily, browsing through them and checking posts for about 10-15 minutes each time I'm on. Events of the caliber that you put on require serious amounts of work. I, as the event runner, would be able to devote the time needed for answering questions, organizing the submission process, and judging submissions. I would be willing to put in a large amount of time running/judging an event. On weekdays, I can put in around 6 hours solely for event planning/executing. On Weekends, I can put in 4-5 hours in the morning, and another 4-5 hours at night. I realize that a lot of this time will be dedicated to reading, and I am willing to spend hours, if needed, reading and judging entries. I am the kind of person that pays attention to detail explicitly. I tend to use spreadsheets a lot, and my mastery of this technique allows me to keep anything and everything organized. When explaining things to others, I always make sure that I don't leave any loopholes, and explain myself clearly so that the point I'm making is easy to grasp. If someone were to have a question about the rules, or something they don't quite understand, I would be able to thoroughly explain it to them in a nice, pleasant manner. As this is a forum event that has to do with a lot of reading, I think it's worth mentioning my love of reading. Reading is one of my favorite activities, and I love reading new things written by experienced and inexperienced writers alike. I can see the skill and thought process each author or creative designer puts into their work, creating a new dimension of completion to any analysis. ---------------------------------------- Demonfire of Cobalt |

My main pirate is Yayakoas and i play on the Virdinian Ocean. Even though i don't have good stats i am very organized and an A+ student. I would put in 5 hrs a day of my effort. I pay attention to every little detail. In school i always try to make a logical plan. And also i do that in soccer. Also i am extremely organized. I always read the notice boards to see whats going on. When there is a typo in crew issues or news i always fix it. (Or try hard to notify my Captain to fix it) I am a good writer and although i am young i started writing my own book. Here is an excerpt: Come over here now, Curfinof, or Ill come and get you! Joshs menacing voice was heard throughout the basketball courts at Garsinon Public School. James Curfinof, one of Joshs usual bullying victims, wasnt sure what to do should he face Josh, or run? He didnt have to decide, however, due to the fact that Josh was rapidly approaching, an intimidating look on his face, and pure hatred burning in his dark eyes. Cornered against a wall, and not wanting the typical harsh beating, James took off, sprinting out of the basketball courts, and into the streets of Manhattan. Although a casual observer may have thought that James was running with no purpose, James had a set destination in mind. James dashed through the crowded Manhattan streets, crawling with tourists, past the wealthy townhouses, and finally darted into one of the lesser known alleyways. There, between two dilapidated buildings, sat James only safe haven, a place where he knew anything could happen - The Lighted Dungeon. James was filled with new exhilaration every time he opened the shops illuminated, stained glass door and saw the beauty of the shop within. The walls were layered with shelves of ancient leather bound books. Exotic multicolored lights adorned the ceiling, and a wide variety of caged animals were present, adjacent to a magnificent collection of gemstones. At the desk sat a gray, aged man with an impressive beard that almost reached his knees. James knew the man to be Orion, shopkeeper of The Lighted Dungeon. Youre early, James, said Orion in his kind, yet powerful voice, I was not expecting you until tomorrow. James knew that Orion was referring to the special bond between them and James two closest friends, Henry and Alyys. Weekly, they would meet at The Lighted Dungeon to a play and be taught a special and mysterious card game, Kvarkorish, which Orion said had been played since the beginning of time. Yes, James replied, Josh was after me again. I understand Im sure you know how the old saying goes: what goes around comes around, Orion said chuckling, a knowing twinkle in his eyes. Well seeing that youre here, we might as well call up Henry and Alyys for another lesson! Within minutes, both Henry and Alyys were present in the shop, their faces beaming. Orion quieted them down, and gestured for all three children to have a seat on the warm, vibrant carpet. Orion immediately started reviewing the basics of Kvarkorish. He explained that there are ten different types of Kvarkorish card sets: Forest, Water, Wood, Fire, Air, Sound, Light, Dark, Master and World. Each set gets gradually more powerful and harder to control. In each set one person or team would attempt to defeat an opponent. Today, Orion announced, that they would be dueling as a team against him, while using a Wood set. Orion, on the other hand, would be dueling with the most powerful of sets, the World set. Following an elongated duel, Orion declared that it was time for everyone to return home. He quickly played down one of the most powerful cards, The Ksarakon, and immediately, the three lost the game. The three friends, thanked Orion, and left the shop together. Chapter 2 Henrys stately house loomed in front of James, Henry, and Alyys. Although James had slept over at Henrys house countless times, he still wasnt used to the unnatural stillness and quiet in the house. Hours later, when every human in the house was in a deep slumber, strange rustling noises could be heard. An odd vibrating hum grew in volume, from almost a whisper to a noise as loud as a freight train. At the sound of a hissing voice, James jolted awake to find his friends asleep beside him, and the same mysterious voice emanating from an unknown location. Ill get you the voice said. James was terrified beyond belief, and immediately woke his friends. Henry, the bravest of the three, asked the voice, who are you? The voice replied, I will get you Henry Varistance .BEWARE Chapter 3 The next few days were nothing unusual for James. He attended school, narrowly avoided Josh, and had time to hang out with Henry and Alyys. Their favorite topic of discussion was the mysterious voice. Was it someone pulling a prank? Was the voice really an evil demon? Should they tell anyone about it? After much deliberation the three had come to a decision they would speak with Orion. Wednesday, after school, it was decided that James, Henry, and Alyys would meet outside The Lighted Dungeon. James walked towards the shop anxiously, with the cloudless April sky overhead, as if it was telling him there would be no answers. When he arrived, and met up with his friends, he immediately sensed that something was not right. The door to The Lighted Dungeon was wide open. The store itself looked like it had been ravaged by a wild beast. Papers littered the floor, books were off their shelves, the animal cages were flung open, and Orions desk was flipped upside-down, with all its drawers opened. However, the strangest thing of all was that Orion was nowhere to be found. I think he was kidnapped!! Alyys said in a nervous voice. Yeah and whoever took him must have wanted something it looks like theyve searched the whole store, James remarked. Henry remained deathly silent. He knew what had caused this chaos and who took Orion. He knew the cause of all this. Guys, he whispered in a stony voice, it was the voice. Silence filled the store. Could the mysterious voice that Henry heard be related to Orions disappearance? When the friends were about to leave, something caught Alyys eye. A bright yellow post-it note was stuck to the wall, behind Orions desks usual location. I think I found a clue, she said excitedly, Orion left us a message! quickly the three rushed to read the note left behind, scrawled in capital letters.... Also, it is probably a good idea to have a Rookie do this event. Like Me. Please do not copy anything. Also i can't wait till my book is published. ALSO IF YOU COPY ANYTHING I WILL SUE YOU!!!! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 4 times, last edit by Yayadada at Jun 9, 2009 6:23:36 PM] |

Just a question.... Does it have to be a creative event? Because I have an in-game event idea I've been mulling over for some time. Not sure if it will work yet, but would love to give it a shot! Elleana of Sage |

OFFICIAL ENTRY; from BadSanta of Colbalt I would be the best at running an event fer theses reasons... I would like to break the ocean record for the longest pilly. Current length is 1 week & 1 hour (172). I would like to do 8 days 8 hours (200). The poe to be hauled would be greater this time with the added events of sunkin treasure and forage points. I dont have a large crew but many friends. The Shrew Crew (Aussie's) headed up by Hung & VampyOne have proved ability to run long pillys trough the dead of night. Cres of Flirts & Damsels has shown extrem interest in this idea. F&D are the top for running Floatila's. Give Cyberpyro (rec hold fer Gov. 12 islands) firm trading rits (Kraken blood & gold) and im sure he would join. If ye know me ocean well, there are many more power players who i'm sure would jump at this idea. And the best is with the close of schools there will be a increase of green jobbers to fill the decks. I would need 3 (75 man) ships at select forage point fer goods tranfer and restockin. A 1 crew job (with24hr players) Run the pilly on a (45)(mine) man ship. Sell all goods into poe along the way. Sell all lantys and CI maps to add to the mix. so a large flow to the ocean. OM needs would be the offer a special ribbion fer those that commanded and also a special ribbion fer those that do a 360 degree tour of duty. Also a Trophie fer the 25 hour and 50 hour marks (total time) I estimate besides these needs, I would need to invest a personal 1 million poe. (give me 30 days) also I have a large trinket collection, mass extra furniter and many full racks of Knives , Bats & Cups. Very willing to use these to spurn local tornis for jobbing and at the forage rest points to keep it fun. My biggest liability is I know nothing about computers/ forums or other advanced modes of chat. http whats that? but play upwards of 12 to 16 hours strait a day. I also have 16 years army so I do know orginize. As you can see i've thought about this. And would love the chance to go down in history. This could be the event of the 6th year to be topped by no others. It may be sketchy on details and would like to meet you if yer interested in more chat for better details. (SmileyHearts Esate on KIrin) If not this idea... I do have a great home and am so ready to throw a awesome party...come see... ---------------------------------------- "Yo, Ho! Ho! Ho! |

In other words: he will not be giving you stuff to run your event if you win this contest: he will be giving you control of the event he has already created, which is a forum writing event. If you have no interest in running a forum writing event, this contest is not for you, but good luck with your 200 hour pillage idea! ---------------------------------------- Aethera of Cobalt SO of Axis Analemma Princess of Smuggler's Pearl Avatar by Tilinka |

Gemmie on cobalt ocean Why I think I would be good at running an event? I really enjoy participating in events and I would love to lead one, except I rarely have enough PoE. I have lead crew and flag events before from quizzes to pillage based events, so I have some experience with what it includes. I enjoy giving to pirates rather than receiving, as it's more fun than keeping everything to myself and the game is about fun. I am generally on the forums everyday unless a real life issue takes over. I am willing to put a lot of time into running/judging an event but I am unavailable between the 29th - 3rd due to a previous arrangement. (I understand if this puts me out of the event.) Also I believe I pay a fair ammount of attention to detail ... ---------------------------------------- Gemmie, Cobalt Ocean, |

*points to the top of the thread* considering it's in COBALT's event thread.. I would assume it's a fairly safe bet it's a cobalt only event. ---------------------------------------- (¯`v´¯)Pharrothead `*.¸.*´ SO Nameless Faces ¸..´¸..*¨) ¸..*¨)Princess Skull and Crossbones (¸..´ (¸..´ (¸..´¸¸..¨¯`*. Based on how he worded it, I would guess it's an event that will only have prizes awarded on Cobalt, but the Event Runner doesn't necessarily need to be Cobalt based. ---------------------------------------- Demonfire of Cobalt |

Well, any pirate can enter, but since the prize is only available on Cobalt, it's posted in the Cobalt Events section. ---------------------------------------- Stevensam -Cobalt Native, founder and host of The PoE is Right. Creator of Lime Day. |

The results are in! Mates, I have to say this was a hard event to judge, even though we only had 11 entries. Without the long speech about how tough it was, here are the results: 4th place - Adrielle 3rd place - Demonfire When it came down to the top 2 entries, I simply could not put one contestant above the other from my judgement, so I have decided to give both of the following pirates 100,000 PoE, as well as their own event to run for me: 1st place - Aethera and Pizzahutpete I want to thank everyone for entering and I will try to give you all your poe as soon as possible. Both winners will be recieving PM's shortly (or maybe a day or two) with their event. Congratulations everyone! ---------------------------------------- Stevensam -Cobalt Native, founder and host of The PoE is Right. Creator of Lime Day. |

I was thinking Pete should win! (Well, I was hoping I would win, but I was hoping he did if I didn't, hee) Thanks Steven, for giving us both a chance...I hope we do you proud. I am so psyched to run a writing event. /e comforts Apollo - why don't you console yourself some July 4th Doodles?
