Enjoy your weekend, I'm sure they'll be up tomorrow. :-)

Even if they're not, enjoy your week, too. :P

Even if there are no more competitions along these lines, there will certainly be more of another kind in the future. Good things come to those who wait...and being patient makes the waiting a lot easier. ;)

Chill out, posting here impatiently isn't going to make them in anymore of a hurry. Enjoy your weekend, I'm sure they'll be up tomorrow. :-)

*points approvingly*

July competitions have been posted including the first (much anticipated) multi-puzzle competition as well as the first appearances of Bilging and Foraging.

Good luck!

Is a bilging competition such a good idea with the apparent wide use of bilgebots recently?

(Link inside a recent discussion on bilgebots in Sage-parley)
The referenced "common bot" might not have a strong influence, but the referenced scripts may well. For that matter the rumored Blacksmithbot one might have an influence on the blacksmithing competition also.

The bilging competition should be fine - the bots can't bilge (as far as i'm aware) as good as this

I have also contacted Prometheus regarding a blacksmithing modification that escaped onto youtube recently. I think the blacksmithing will be postponed until that is patched.

Nice bilging.
I agree that the common bot might not do it, but enhancing the lookahead from 3 moves to a bit more should be trivial. The 10 sec/move should give plenty of time for even a brute force solution of considerable depth, let alone if a somewhat intelligent treecutting is added.

Even if its not a problem this time, those bots tend to get better with time. Hackers have a certain pride too.

The good thing about these competitions is that they create some awareness with the OMs. As it seems bots are that common that they have a noticable influence on gameplay. Thats the real problem. Hope it gets fixed sometime soon.

May I ask you why there is no gunning competition for those 3 months? I've been waiting only for that. And I think it is another important puzzle, too; and it used to be given a lot of fams for gunning.

Thank you mates, really thank you...

Because two certain people on viridian and one on sage tamper with the gunnery puzzle and it isn't patched yet.
